Boy what a mistake to bring back old man Steyn

.....sounds like an HM move, bring back a 33 year old. Nope I'm not referring to Morne, I'm talking bout Dale Steyn who went through the Black Caps like a knife through butter. And how about old man Philander. 
Good enough is young enough.....here endeth  the first lesson, learned once again.

 I assume all the fools on this site who feel 30 is the mandatory retirement age.

 Jerome Kaino seems to be getting better if anything .Maybe hes looking at the 2019 RWC .If fit and in form he will be facing off against the Lions next year .

 This man Mozart is a joke in bad taste.    Age is all that counts with him - performance means nothing.   No sane person on this site ever said sportsmen who perform should be judged on age - only he caries on about the issue all the time.   Must suffer from some mania or another  about the issue.

I am not only critical of non-performing older players in SA - I also said that Wales have also showed serious signs of declining performances because of the age factor.  If one looks at the poor performances of Whales in the 6 Nations - and especially their 26 - 3 loss against Ireland, but also their tepid performance against Itally and loss against England - then it is clear that they have serious deficiencies, which I believe is also coupled to their elderly players up front.  I lso raised some issues about the performances of McCaw.

 I am honest when it comes to player performances - what I wrote about McCaw was a comparison in what he produced up to 2011 compared to what he produced in 2015.   There was a decline in performances in his later years in performances and that is a fact.   However - the story is as per normal disjointed and selective quoting of my comments is typically Mozart  dishonesty.

However, the constant harping of yours on the age of sportsmen  is hilarious and indicated an obsession with age n your part.   Your constant misrepresentations about performance of older rugby players  are notorious.      

 My dear Mozart ... you seem terribly confused ... so let me help you out and guide you accordingly.

The difference between us is that you want to select the elderly merely because they are old ... while the rest of us would like to select the best we have and sadly the best we have usually come in young bodies.

Actually no.....you never raised questions about McCaw's performance in 2015 relative to 2011, you clearly were raising questions about his ability to perform in 2015. Stupid because he was a rock for the ABs in the WC.
As for wanting the elderly because they are old....nope again. I want the best players, which includes the experience and knowledge components. In rugby when you look for the complete package, the ability to perform in big matches.....that tends to produce a late twenties average team. It has in the case of most WC winners and the last ABs averaged over 29.
Case closed.

 The case is only closed when for a change you start talking the truth.    But McCaw is not the issue here - the issue is that every sportsman achieving something is never mentioned by you on this site coupled to his age.   If Van Niekerk was 30 you would have started a thread on him and written  a book about him.

You say you want the best for the Boks ... then why is Louw a favourite of yours ... if not for his elderly status?

Kriel is better, stronger, quicker, more passionate, far better talented and inspires others to lift their game  ... 
What does Louw bring ... apart from losses to Japan, Wales, Argentina and Ireland?
Louw has 70 minutes each match to show us some magic. We're all still waiting for your magician to show up. 
Mozart ... he's a no show. He's ineffective on the ground and non existent in the loose.  You harp on and on about the elderly being competitive and then you use feeble players like Morne, Beast and Louw as your prime examples of what an elderly player is capable of.
Perhaps you should look around a bit more ... try to find players that have a little more life in them than these feeble boys ... 
They're definitely not doing your cause any good.

If you want to see ineffective look at Kriel in the Super final. The Beast, Morne and Louw have all had great games for the Boks....the Beast and Steyn for example were a huge part of our victory over the British Lions. In form they are proven test match players....Kriel isn't but he hasn't been tried, which is your best argument. But against teams like NZ and the Poms he will simply be dominated.

They don't belong on a rugby field any more ... especially not at test level.
I hope Kriel gets a shot at the Poms, I really do. Not the usual 10 minutes but a proper run from the starting whistle.
