Brendan Nel - DOUBLE STANDARDS: How the media continually paint Rassie as a villain (Some in the media oaks)

Here is a great video commenting on what some people in NZ and overseas say in the media.

I couldn't but think of DUD Mozzie and Deus when viewing the clip. We have a 5th column in South Africa who don't like either Rassie or the Boks. They are in our rugby stadiums supporting the wee abs and are even here on Ruckers. Nel mentions the pain those opposed to Rassie have experienced.
Now take a look at how some nz journalists talk about Rassie. Consider how nz always want rule changes that are detrimental to the Boks. Or the financial robbery and poor refereeing that caused South Africa to walk away from the Super comp. Or how about the infamous Get the Yarpy plan devised by very crooked nz ref Brycy Lawrence's father in cahoots with Australia. Oh yes I am very glad we are now playing in the NH. Should we join the 6 nations one wonders. We could have tours between us and nz?
One thing I heartedly disagree with Brendan about is the treatment Rassie got for the video he made and which was released by someone else regarding some 26 errors made by ref Aussie Nick Berry. Rassie got punished and Berry said he suffered reputational damage. Well I was very happy his incredible incompetence or cheating was exposed and happy his reputation suffered. In this case the whistleblower took the hit. Reminds me of Commiefornia passing what has become known as the "Stop the Nick Shirley Act".
There is a saying that the only thing worse that a big loss is a one point loss. When the Boks won three matches by one point and won the RWC in 2023 this was the final straw that broke DUD Mozzie and Deus. They had been so hoping for a loss. each one point win by the Boks increased the pain. They were ENRAGED and what followed was the biggest meldown I have ever witnessed on a ruby website. These fake Bok supporters who had been sniping at Rassie and the Boks for years lost it completely and the masks finally completely fell away.
There is quite a few beguiled about the camaraderie talk etc. I am not opposed per se to camaraderie. But when your opponent is trying to cheat you at every turn one needs to respond appropriately. Hence Rassie, Daan Human, Mallet, Rich, Nel, Matfield and many others pointing out to Renee the error of his ways and how the abs were getting away with murder. Being a great friend to the wee abs is rather like being a gay for palestine fruitcake.
Nel makes some very good points.
