Brendan Venter has finally figured out how to beat the ABs
But will you have time to teach them how to catch and pass a rugby ball before Saturday ?
Does he help that Keo bloke with his predictions ?
Now who might that be JW ?
How goes it Bro ?
His name rhymes with Bingo
All good here Wardad although we have a monster storm heading to the East coast. I had to cancel my trip as they are evacuating people in the millions.
So the ABs only win with the refs help ,sad now .
Did those same refs help the ABs during the Lions tour Moz?
JW maybe the Tangerine Turd should be building a wall .A sea wall.
And yeah Wayne Barnes he really helped the ABs out ,but he reserves his love for the Aussies ,at one stage 12 te st on the trot the Wobblies won under him.
Good one Wardad, he can imagine the sea walll just as he imagines the one the Mexicans are paying for
How are things with you and yours Wardad?
Ha ha Moz, ABs have won 77% of their games starting from 1903. As a business tycoon you must admire our ability to do business with so many refs for so long
Cheers Moz,didnt take it any other way than intended.
All good JW ,one of my younger daughters got her licence so as promised had to cough up one car please !
"The Moz playbook"?
Would that be the same playbook that suggested and supported an openside flank of the aging Willem Alberts? ... (I remember a lecture that followed ... what ever was it titled ... umm ... oh yes ... "Counter Ruck 101" by Moz).
or how about playing Malcolm Marx, the best hooker on the planet, out of position at 7 and replacing him with the best lineout thrower that we have, Bongi "7 points later" Bonambi ... or supporting the notion that Morne Steyn is a better 10 than Dan Carter and that Oupa "Eish I received no IRB invite" Mohoje was McCaw's better.
Not that playbook, hey Moffie??
lol!!
Well first of all ... to compete in the "kicking stakes" you need the players to do that ... which we do not. Neither Faff nor Pollard or Jantjies or Le Roux possess a good kicking game.
In other words ... your suggested plan is NOT an option at all.
Typical Moffie ... suggesting a game plan that we're not capable of with these players .
I suppose we had better summon Morne Steyn and Fourie Du Preez back from retirement, right Moffie??
Secondly ... we once again don't have the players in this squad to hang on to our ball at the breakdown, so that's already not a viable suggestion. Also, it would certainly help a lot in reducing their counter attack if we were to hold onto possession ... but that too is a skill that our 9 & 10s don't possess. When in doubt, kick the ball away.
So, Moffie ... that I'm afraid cancels out your second suggested plan of attack.
... and lastly ... need I go through the spiel of discussing the players needed to defend the set phase? Well ... let me just say that we don't have them in this squad and that the 4 players deserving of their positions cannot be expected to do everything.
May I make a suggestion? Throw that silly little book of yours away. It was put together by an ignorant fool.
You referred to the kicking out-of-hand problem. It is nothing new it was even worse when the Steyns were in the game. None of the present players making relief kicks from deep within the Springboks 22 which rolled on the grass like Fat Fransie did twice in 2012 and none of the present players have kicks described as BS by the commentators on TV - as was achieved by dear Morne.
The above two caused a draw in Mendoza in 2012 and was a contribution to the loss of the Dunedin test in 2012 - while the bottom of performance was w here Morne all on his own lost the Perth test in 2014 where Morne could not even kick a penalty line kick out of touch from his own 22.
What was really amazing and funny was the way Mozart nd AO tried to mislead the members about what happened. Mozart kept totally silent about the Steyn mishap and attacked Lambie for missing a subsequent tackle. When tackled on his silence he never admitted that Morne fouled up. AO was even funnier = he conjured up a mysterious wind blast that lasted while the ball was in the air and vanished immediately afterwards.
P-Divvy is saying as how his secret was mental coaching
Mental as Anything was a great Aussie band too. With such hits as " If you leave me ,can I come too " or for the Vemuelen types " Berserk Warriors "
Empty article. The three listed points are all byproducts of the NZ approach to the game.
A step by step plan to counter consequences is doomed to fail as NZ approach will produce different byproducts to which the opposing side is not prepared.
Any rugby must match the NZ approach to the game by their own approach in order to get a chance to win.
That way, when the circumstances of the game change, both approaches will deliver different outputs.
The NZ global approach to the game allows them to get adapted within a match to many different challenges. Going with a fixed plan on how to counter them without considering the global approach is fruitless.
And people say you cant make a coherent argument Mr Trad !
Ha ha, Trad's random word generator occasionally results in a coherent sentence or two
Ha Ha. Even a broken clock is right twice a day....
Venter makes some very esoteric assessments. The All Blacks have done their best to eliminate tendencies from their game. Their spread of kicks are quite even. They don't have a rigid scheme.
We have actually been getting alot of quick ball, but our handling in crucial phases needs to be better. We lack some composure, especially the players Rassie seems to have a preference for. We need good readers of play to capitalise on the opportunities they give, and they will be there on Saturday.
Against the Wallabies we had a play where two Wallabies out wide anticipated Kriel passing out, so they turned their back, he should have dummied and run into that sizeable space. There was a similar occurrence with Kitshoff. He could have advanced into space and we would have had a 3v1 in Australia's 22. Jantjies had a couple of opportunities where he could have drawn and passed, but instead allowed the defence to drift onto the outside backs. Willie did this as well in one particular attacking phase which wasted a great opportunity. We can have these moments against New Zealand.
Defensively 10 and 12 need to be solid. Either one can make life difficult for the other, as we saw Damian do against England and in many prior tests. This is going to be a significant battle.
