This raise alarm bells. Surely a SuperXV side should beat the Griquas, the Sharks are not contributing that many boks are they?

Sharkbok there are enough forwards missing to make a difference. Griquas are also a tricky assignment in the Currie Cup for big sides missing their top players.
Griquas of course should have made the Super 15 long before the queens if merit had been the criteria.

Griquas have been a a quality team for sometime and surprising that the Cheetas dont use more of their players in SuperXV.

I di expect some problems and live on hope that the Sharks may just win. You cannot play the game of rugby when players like Deysel constantly give away penalties and you have a scrummie who buggers up constantly. I still do not know why they start with McLeod and not Reinach.
Their props was better when Cooper was on - and bringing on Burden was a huge mistake. There is something wrong in their backline and I think that the sooner Jordaan comes back the better it will be for them.
Bad news for us - the Shark supporters.
And for Mozart's information - James was not even a reasonable flyhalf tonight.

As I said Venter is no better than Plum.......how the hell can you select a side comprising Ndungane out of poistion at 15, Ludik out of position at 13, McLeod ahead of Reinach at 9, two useless locks in Hewitt and Wentzel and ignoring the impressive Mtembu as a loosie and playing wee Daniel at 8 when he should be at 6.
The Sharks management are clueless

Agree with you on all points. And Whitehead was injured again - do not know how seriously this time around.
Just one question - in the Sharks Under 21 side there was a 12 by the name of Jan Etserhuizen - he was absolutely magic and scored three tries. What do you know about that guy?

Esterhuizen is a monster 19 year old who tips the scales at 102kg. They say he is the real deal. He played 15 last week to cover an injury, so is obviously talented enough to move around the backline.
Both him and the 13 Tyler Fisher should be in the Sharks squad......instead those clowns have Joubert in the squad

One loss and now venter is PROVED to be no better than Plum. Hahhahahahahahahahaha I love it when snapster and ou maaaikie get on a roll (Maaaikie agrees on all points)!

Sponny I have heard reports that are conflicting- One is that Henderson is the forwards coach only, and that their is no head coach. As director of rugby this is being done by Brendon Venter.
Another report says that Henderson is the head coach.
Sounds like Politics. If it is a cock up then Henderson will be the fall guy.
Obviously arranged by John Spit Pig in the background after his PR disaster with John Plumtree.
Alister Cotzee of the Stormers I believe is the head coach and director of rugby since the departure of Rassie Erasmus. Although with all the top junior talent leaving WP not sure if Alister is capable of directing the replacement of toilet paper on time.

I did like Plumtree as commentator on last nights match - he was diplomatic even when his co-commentator slipped up badly - but once or twice did let slip some comments when Sharks players buggered up badly. For instance - deadly silence when the co-commentator said that McLeod was the first choice scrummie of the Sharks in Super 15. He obviously was not - Reinach was and the latter was only replaced when he got injured.
I did not like what I saw when the team for last night was announced - and the fact is that we do not need indiscipline and poor performances in the Sharks set up - which was their down fall last night. It is unfair to be negative on a coach after only one game - but if they continue with selections like they did for last night - there is one way they will end on the CC log and that is play-off time to stay in the competition.

The sharks doesn't know how to grow talent. They either import them or stuff them up by playing them in a random position as last night was evident of. No wonder Lindeque decided to go to the cheetahs.
The Griquas have been a quality outfit for some time, just lack of money and the new super 15 format have robbed them from being more competitive. I think that it is a great advertisement for Curie cup rugby.
I would love to see more smaller unions back and change the format to 7 teams rather than just 6 or even 8. For this comp we don't need strenght vs strength but rather have an even system were big unions don't horde players.
If the sharks have some youngsters who are not getting game time then these guys should be able to compete at the same level but allow them to play for other unions.
