Brumbies Breakdown Work

Something that I found interesting was the Brumbies effeciency in the tackle. Often they had the tackler chop the ball carrier low and let his momentum lay him flat and parallen to the touchline. This created the narrowest possible gate to the breakdown and created a very quick opportunity for the second defender to contest the ball. It's also interesting to see Jake utilise a fetcher. This is one of the few legal things the All Blacks did so well over the last two years; using McCaw and Thompson in tandem to contest well constructed opportunities for the ball. By contrast the Boks have been a bit more frenetic smashing the tackler with little regard for the situation etc. We need to see more of the above.
