Brumbies coach Jake White has squashed suggestions that his side will choke as the race for a play-offs spot heads into the final straight.

The Australian conference leaders face a stern test against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday in a match they must win to keep the Reds at bay and and tie down a finals berth.

White's troops are five points clear of the Reds but face an underachieving Waratahs team under pressure for results after a dismal season of just four wins from 14 matches.

But the hosts have turned up the heat on the Brumbies heading into their must-win clash, saying all the pressure is on the men from Canberra.

White, however,is having none of it and said his underrated team were written off before a ball was even kicked this season.

"A lot of people said 'they're running ahead of themselves, it won't last'. Now we're two weeks out from the end of the tournament in terms of the round-robin games and we're still top of our pool," White told AAP.

"It's all about momentum and form and confidence and we're not lacking any of those things heading into these last two rounds."

Sydney hasn't been an easy place for the Brumbies to post wins over the years. They've never won at ANZ Stadium and the last time they left Sydney as winners was in the 2002 semi-final.

However, the Brumbies have already conquered some other psychological hurdles in South Africa and New Zealand this year and White said Sydney holds no fear.

"The reality is we've beaten the Waratahs already ... If we do (what we've got to do), there's no reason why we won't get a result," he said.

"They've broken every single hoodoo and misconception

Now I ask you sincerely - who can doubt a man as determined as this!!  Go Jake show them what a good coach can achieve!

Blaauw, the Stormers loosehead, is apparently off to Biarritz France. Now we are keeping the french afloat as well as the hapless bulle!!!  THis was not at all a bad player! Bad news.
