Quite amazing how the Kiwis have acted to damage us on the world stage, first there was that coffin dodger who cost us hosting the soccer WC and now we have small man's syndome Bryce doing the damage.

New Zealand referee Bryce Lawrence will not officiate Super Rugby matches in South Africa during the 2012 tournament.
Lawrence refereed the Rugby World Cup quarter-final between South Africa and Australia which the Wallabies won 11-9.
Afterwards South African rugby supporters slammed Lawrence and blamed him for ending the Springboks' reign as World Cup champions. ( I proudly say I was one of them - unlike ou windpomp and cronies)
He received threats over email and on Facebook and was heavily criticized by Springbok captain John Smit and South Africa's former World Cup Final referee Andre Watson.
Lawrence is keen to travel to South Africa to deal with the criticism but that will not occur.
He revealed that he has already received his match schedule for the upcoming Super Rugby tournament but he is not listed to control any matches outside New Zealand and Australia.
The New Zealander said he understands why Sanzar have left him off the list for South Africa as they do not want any distractions from their tournament.
"In some ways I'd like to go and front it, but it's not really my decision," Lawrence told the New Zealand Herald. (I thought he had previously said he was wary of coming here?)
Sanzar's decision is understandable as it is believed that they are fearful that fans might take matters into their own hands.
In 2002 during a Tri-Nations match in Durban between South Africa and New Zealand, Springboks fan Piet van Zyl ran on to the field and attacked referee David McHugh who had to retire with a dislocated shoulder.
Lawrence revealed that he had been hurt by the reaction to the Springboks' World Cup exit and the way that he refereed the match.
He admits that his performance warranted criticism but refuses to accept that his performance was biased either way. (Hahahahhahahahahahahahahaha hate to see the twit on an off day!!!)
Some South African rugby supporters have accused Lawrence of being involved in a conspiracy to knock South Africa out of the World Cup in order to give New Zealand an easier route to the final.
"I got quite a few threats, people telling me if I came to South Africa to watch my back because they'd take me out," he revealed.
"The thing I pride myself on the most is that I'm up front and honest.
"It only really hurt when it became personal, when people started saying it was a fix-up and I'd done it so the All Blacks could get through. (well after that appalling display you were rewarded by being made NZ ref of the year - if the cap fits wear it! Noakes I understand called for an enquiry and the half bakes running SA rugby should have insisted a full investigation be done)
"That hurt. That's an attack on your integrity and everything you stand for. The criticism that I should have refereed better, I totally accept.
"I'd done my self-review and realised I'd missed a couple of things, but you can't get overly concerned about that because I had just missed them - it wasn't as if I'd seen them and decided not to do anything."
It is a disgrace that he has been allowed back. Like Marks of Oz he should be barred. Our rugby admistrators are so lame!!!

There are more fools making excuses for Bribe Law-rinse that those that protest his sell out. I have taken them all to task and not one of them can tackle the facts I place before them. They simply reiterate we should have taken our chances. Educating these mongs, as Beeno says, is like trying to squeeze and elephant into a thimble.

That's an insult of the highest order. I tell you this, were I driving along and I saw Bribe... I couldn't guarantee that i wouldn't land a wheely to the face. Because I too can miss things; I wouldn't want tmy integrity as a person to be attacked though. It's not as though I would have seen him and not decided to avoid him.
Some of the excuses those supersupporter mongs made were actually incredible. We lose a match by a point. We dominate the game like we haven't against Oz for years. The ref errors are all noted but they insisted we lost because we didn't take our chances, because our attack was not good enough, because Danie gave away a silly penalty etc etc.
What I couldn' t get through to this group of supper supporter mongs was that we played enough rugby to win comfortably given a fair and competent ref!!!!!!!!(At least twenty points - dan Retief counted 5 hands in when we wer near the tryline for starters) This point was simply not accepted by these loonies. The blame for our defeat was always being shifted back onto the Boks.
They were in great haste to congratulate the abs on their wc win!!!! However never ever have I seen a world cup burgled like this one. Unfortunately Craig Joubert then went on to hand the abs the world cup on a platter. The frogs were shafted (As Moz showed via that clip) although in my opinion not as badly as we were with BL.
However another sad display was their rejoicing when the Stormers lost to the Crusaders. In the end I called them closet ab supporters. What other conclusion could one come to? Incredible stuff really!

We had three tries disallowed, and Australia had multiple card offences ignored. A red card offence by Pocock was not picked up. There were no less than a dozen penalties in Australia's 22 turned down. All related to Australia's fiddling at the breakdown.

Best referee in 2011, hope he has a splendid 2012 season, he can come referee matches in Cape Town any day... he has lots of friends here.

and with all of that only one clean break. Those numbers are huge, doesn't happen in test rugby. Yes, Lawrence had a shocker but SA should have won that anyway. SA lost because it was clueless in the backline and had aging stars like Smit playing on well past their used by date. There wasn't any changes in tactics from the 2007 cup. The game has moved on.

Suzy in 1995, that's another story and is a real conspiracy. Besides, I grew up watching ABs vs SA and all the time the SA ref was as bent as hell. Especially the Cavaliers tour back in 1986...
.... i agree absolutely , the south african refs have always been from another planet . Andre Watson a case in point.
