Ex Supersport

Springbok front rowers Dean Greyling and Werner Kruger have extended their contracts with the Bulls till the end of the 2015 season, the Pretoria union announced on Tuesday.

"It is no secret that high quality props are hard to keep in the country and to have two of them agreeing to an extension of three years at the same time is wonderful news, not only to the Vodacom Bulls, but also to South Africa," said Bulls head coach Frans Ludeke.

"Both Werner and Dean have their best years in their positions still ahead of them and to know that they will be playing those in South Africa, and more particularly Pretoria, is awesome news for all concerned."

Greyling, 27, has excelled for the Bulls in the junior and senior ranks, playing 30 Super Rugby matches and 31 Currie Cup games. He has also represented the Boks in three test matches so far in his career.

Kruger, 28, who also joined the Bulls straight out of school, has become one of the most experienced tightheads in the team's history, representing the Pretoria side in 75 Super Rugby clashes and 79 Currie Cup games. His made his debut for the Springboks in 2011 and has played five matches for the national side.

Ludeke expected both players to take on senior roles in the squad.

"Both joined as juniors and have been in the system for a long time now," he said.

"They have embraced and supported the work ethic and culture within the squad and I expect both to become strong senior players in the years to come."

All very satisfying for the Bulle? Must say these two props have been severely savaged to an almost pathelogical extent. Is Ludeke crazy to sign them.  I dont think so. Who do they have that is so much better in any case?

Both are actually crap players who should never represented the boks. Werner is particular was way out his league and Greyling was just stupid against the All blacks and probably lost the game for the boks with not only his penalty give away but the dropped ball on the try line.

Yeah Kruger was sorely exposed at test level - Greyling was good enough to play test rugby but too stupid
