The bulle again underlined their financial muscle and have signed two more Lions players.

Its about time a forensic audit was done of the bulle financial affairs because they seem to have unlimited funds. These parasites are now oversupplied in many positions and they just keep importing. Disgusting stuff from the greedy bloated bulle. Grow some of your own timber Twits and stop pillaging the Lions!!!!!!

Down with the bulle!

Ex Keo

The Bulls have signed Baby Bok and Lions lock Paul Willemse.

According to media reports, the Bulls have recruited one of the top junior locks in the country in Willemse. The 19-year-old Monument old boy, who stands at 2m and weighs 127kg, played a key part in the SA U20s’ maiden Junior World Championship triumph in June as a primary ball carrier and solid defender.

Willemse also made his Super Rugby debut for the Lions and has featured in three U21 provincial matches so far this season.

Willemse is the second Lions player to make the move to Pretoria in a space of a month. Flank Grant Hattingh – who joined the Lions from Maties during the Super Rugby campaign – made his exit recently and will start for the Bulls in a Currie Cup warm-up match against the Lions on Friday.

Now wouldn't it be so funny if it proved to be the case that they import all these players and still flop due to say inadequate coaching. Or if they import all these palyers and they leave like Sadie did. That would be hilarious. Hahahahahaha   - should that happen feel free to apply to the Stormers boys! If we sign up up you will get game time etc. Makes more sense doesnt it. Getting splinters in your bum while warming the bench season after season is no fun guys.

Wonder what Hattingh thinks his future is there? Juande's future is in jeopardy now.  Try number 7 Juandre you could do well there.

I would note in my usual objective way that while the greedy bloated bulle sign up Willemse, the thick stupid Stormers managment release Quinn Roux but keep Steenkamp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we werent such a great franchise I would dispair but one has to hope the current crop of dopes running the WP get the boot some time and the sooner the better. Do me one favour though dopes no more exports to the greedy bloated bulle! One can only bear so much stupidity!!!

the sad truth is no player n there right mind would travel to the stormers of lions due to mis management. so the logical choice is either the cheetahs or the sharks. getting a start at the bulls will be close to impossible now. there backed by there massive sail partner so they are buying players with euros. ifs up to the other unions to make a simliar move and almost buy a team. dont be jealous beeno if they are playing the right way in building a new team.

just hope the sharks can sign new players to and build much more depth

Sail is not a Bulls partner at all.  Sail is a subsiduary of Marc group, whose shareholders are Venfin, the management of the company and another company whose name I have forgotten. I do know though, that they are also one of the shareholders in Sail. Marc Group are actually the shareholders in the Blue Bulls and not the Bulls Super Rugby franchise. They are also shareholders in the Griffons Rugby Union as well as in the Western Province Rugby Union. I am not too sure about the percentages, but I know that their shareholding in the Blue Bulls is 50%. They hold less in the WP and the Griffons.

Fact is that both Sail and Marc Group are South African companies based in South Africa. They do have interests abroad though, and there interests in Saracens is via Sail, and that is the link between Saracens and South Africa. The ties between the WP and Saracens is done through Sail, and is because of the involvement of the Remgro group who has shareholding in Sail, but not in Marc Group.

It is quite confusing at this stage, given the fact that, although Sail still exists, it has been rebranded as Marc Group.

They do not give the Bulls Euro's to buy players.

How many times have you not told us how clueless the top guys at the WP are? Maybe the Bulls are better at getting sponsors and sorting their finances. The Bulls have somehow always been clever as far as their assets and finaces are concerned. They had their stadium upgraded for in the time leading up to the 2010 Fifa WC at the minimum cost to themselves and obviously also made a bundle out of the proceeds during the Football World Cup. Newlands got nothing out of those events.

The Bulls are possibly also better at getting good sponsors. As I have said at some stage, the even attracted a Cape Town based sponsor. Having said that, how come the Stormers are still cash strapped even with a large international sponsor like DHL? I smell a rat.

I would agree with Ceradyne that the Bulls have the advantage of better sponsorship deals. Without trying to dig any team/person out and simply looking at the existing results of Super Rugby. It is easy to see where sponsors would want to invest their money.

I am in no way implying that Bulls are currently or for that matter always going to be the best SA team. But, it is a really easy sell if no other SA team has taken that trophy home yet...
