I see Mitch picked Pollard at inside center. ... About time someone start listening to me.

So far it's poor execution of the basics leading to points rather than any expansive game.....stupid attempt to run out by Lions 14.

Some decent attacking play by both teams applying a 15 man game plan.

Thus far Mahuza looks unwilling to take the contact....yet another example of turning over the ball in your own 22 as the Lions try to run out against a stacked defence.

YELLOW CARD MANIA RUINS ANOTHER GAME. I T WAS A GOOD CONTEST UNTIL THE YELLOWS FLOWED. TOO MAY GAMES ARE DEPENDENT ON WHO GET THE YELLOWS.

Bulls given a dose of reality by the Lions. Still they looked promising at different stages of the game. I'm sure Mitchell will straighten out he penalty problem going forward.

Now it's become amateur night at the Proms......great try by Ishmael, but Djantje had no reason to commit on the inside....there was protection.

So Bulle lose by 14 points after playing with only 13 men. Who is the best side is unknown due to yellow card mania.

Good to see JW back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bulls finished well. They have potential and will only get better. Looked like a decent game of rugby - only saw bits of it.

Bulle had the Lions on the ropes at the end. They should do well this season.

So that's the new Bools. They look about a 50% team to me.....the Lions gifted them two tries. I see nothing except the willingness to pass the ball, mostly resulting in sterile phase play.

Early days yet for the Bulls Moz. They were playing the best SA team and if they lower their penalty count they should do well enough this season.

Mostert sure showed that Snyman has much to learn at lock.

Simply streets ahead of ... um ... Mozart's ... um ... "discovery"

Well played Lions. Pity about falling asleep in the 10 minutes.

Well played Bulls. There is much you can take from this match. Your discipline hurt you. I'm expecting great things from you this season.

Go Bulls!!

The Lions gifted the Bools 14 points at the death....Jantjies just had to put the ball out. This was basically a drubbing. The Bools have a weak scrum, average backs....and average skills. What they have so far is the enthusiasm of a new coach and home advantage.....that will fade as the losses pile up. The miracle was probably over last week.

Er Mostert was at flank for 70% of the game. Snyman was industrious, Lomp was a dead weight.

... and yet, he out did your "find" at his own game and that while on the blindside.

Snyman is a talent ... as many of us said ages ago ... but he needs some serious work if he's going to dethrone Du Toit, Mostert, Schickerling and Etzebeth.

Expect the Bulle to i mprove as the season unfolds. Mitchell has got his side fit and raring to go. They had the Lions on the ropes at the end.

Mitchell one would think will lift the Bulle skill levels. He has the players and must now mould them into a team. I would bet against the Bulle have a better season than last year.
