I was hoping to get an idea of the strength of the Bulls when they played against the Jaguares in a warm-up game yesterday. The Bulls won the game 21-12, which to my mind is not a convincing victory - but there is a problem why a person cannot really from the basis for reasonable deductions.
The reason for the latter statement is that Mitchell - like many other coaches - uses warm-up games as a means to identify talent in the fringe players of the Bulls and do not use the front-line players to start in such matches. The ssame happened yesterday - the starting line-up was made up[largely by fringe players. In the second half the Buls brought on most of their key players that will ultimately form part of their team.
There is consequently not much which can be deducted from the match and the real test will come in 14 days time whn the Bulls plays the Hurricanes in Pretoria.
