by a poor penalty call in the end, but they have themselves to blame for poor tactics and not playing rugby. As Sean Fitzpatrick and Lynah correctly said, the Bulls are just hell bent on kicking the damn thing.
When they do play it they look dangerous. While the likes of Serfontein and JJ got little ball, they always threaten when they do. Serfontein today showed real power, he had no space to work with, but this 19 year old is a powerhouse.
I was not convinced with all the penalties against the Bulls scrum. Most the Bulls had solid games but for Kirchner and Vermaak.
Kirchner has been poor all season and was pathetic tonight. They need to drop him and play Visser at 15, his natural position. Vermaak is slow and gets caught too often, Genia made a mockery of him last week and he was poor again this week. The sooner Hougaard returns the better.
Mapoe, JJ, Serfontein, Visser and Morne were good. In the forwards, Stegman is frustrating to watch as he makes too many obvious mistakes. Its madness that Botha did not start that game. Chiliboy had a better game as did Willemse and Jeandre Kruger. Spies was solid enough.
The Bulls were poor in the first half as they played no rugby, they were far better in the second, but were robbed in the end. Losing 3 now, they have some hard work to do at home to stay in the hunt.
They need to entrust the likes of Serfontein and JJ to dominate their opposite numbers - they have the talent to do so.
Another disappointing slip after full time by the Bulls.......that should have been 1 loss, 1 win and 2 draws on tour.....they were that close
