The following team has been announced -

Zane Kirchner, Akona Ndungane, Johann Sadie, Wynand Olivier, Bjorn Basson, Morne Steyn, Francois Hougaard, Pierre Spies (captain), CJ Stander, Dewald Potgieter, Wilhelm Steenkamp, Flip van der Merwe, Werner Kruger, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Dean Greyling.

Replacements: Willie Wepener, Rayno Gerber, Juandré Kruger, Arno Botha, Jano Vermaak, Louis Fouche, JJ Engelbrecht.

The above does not really represent any improvement on the team that played against the Highlanders.   The following are the really mediocre players in the team:-

Kirchner, Olivier (he could perform depending on his hairdo), Steyn, Spies. kruger and Greyling.   That is the min reson they have no chance to beat the Chiefs.   A win would be a massive surp[rise in this case and will be the result of under-performance by the Chiefs and not necessarily good performance by the Bulls.    Hopefully they play in Blue - Pink has been a disaster for them.

The one thing the Bulls do have is a side that has consistently been nearly the same. So from a continuity point of view, they don't look too bad, but their loose forwards are the obvious weakness. They really needed Jacques Potgieter this weekend....dewald being back offers some experience, be he just seems to lack something...maybe a bit of bulk, dunno, but he just doesn't impress me. A Bulls win would be an upset i reckon.

Technically it's only Dewald's second game back, so still early days. i do like his wrokrate however when he is in form.

I mean D Ptogieter in general, not just now. He is a hard worker and so on, but he just lacks that little something extra. I reckon he may be a little light.

What on earth is Steenkamp doing ahead of Jeandre Kruger - what a stupid selection

Yo Saff, not sure if the Bulls are still using the rotating players system of a few years back, but I also can't give you another logical reason why Jeandre sitting on the bench.

Not clever when playing against the Chiefs when they need a win badly
