I watched the game and with what Louw produced Bath is welcome to him. By the way Carr played for Wasps at 8 -same as Louw and he was even slightly better than Louw and Carr was pretty hopeless.
Excellent - that is why I wrote that Carr in the time he did play was a lot better than Louw, For instance Carr made 8 tackles missing none - Louw made 7 tackles missing 1. Carr carried the ball the same number of times than Louw did and the territory gain was the same - yet Carr broke a tackle Louw never did.
So in 44 minutes playing time Carr did more than Louw did in 80 minutes - typical,

Thanks - but there are two problems with that discussion. First of all Louw was no real asset for the Springboks when he did play for them this year and the idea that he is an automatic selection is not real. He is also not that much an option at 6 - in the last two games he played at 8 for Bath.
At 34 there is no real future for him as a player - even though Mozart and apparently you rate age and reputation without regard to performance as an option. He is on the way out.
