I am back from my hiatus from this site. I hope things have become a little more grown up in my absence.

With that intro out of the way, is anyone else very excited about this coming weekend's game? I reckon it is going to be a cracker! A little sad that it has to take place so early in the season, my favorite two teams up against one another, but bring it on, for a team to be champions, they must beat the best. Lions are without a doubt the best SA franshise at the moment, and will go into the clash as deserved favorites. Still, I am hoping for an upset.

Go Bulls!

Bluebok

I am very optimistic about the Bulls in this season - they are bound to improve and may even feature in the play-offs  if their performance on Saturday is a marker of things to come.

I agree with you that if the Bulls were not upgraded they would not be competitors on Saturday, but there are signs that they are improving,

There is a small chance that they could even beat the lions - but I would in fact be  happy with their progress if they lose by a small margin.  The Lions is a top class team taken there by Mitchell,  Ackerman and Swys - but Mitchell may just start a process taking the Bulls to the top.   It may not be immediate - those things take time and patience - but lets hope for the best for the bulls this year.

We all need a little time out from this crazy place ... and no ... nothing has changed.

We have a few less posters ... and a few newbies ... like ... Koos Kombuis.

Other than that, I hope you're well rested and ready to get right back into the swing of things.

As for the Bulls ... I am super excited about them. They are going to get better and better as the season goes on. I am hoping that we see some significant improvement next week ... after the Lions match ... as none of us want to see back to back upsets so early in the season. Right??

Mitch told Fat Trevor to put the cheeseburgers down and run more. He got rid of the useless Paige. He's done something to Lood and Kriel ... both of which I don't recognize anymore from  last season.

He has a genuine fetcher in Roelof Smit and Snyman (Mozart's discovery apparently) has impressed as he did two seasons back.

Pollard will undoubtedly find his mojo under Mitchell and ooze with confidence. I am also expecting to see Gelant take giant steps to an international career at 15. He has it all.

I am however a little puzzled why he would include Strauss ahead of Marutllule.

Things are looking good.

Gooooooooo Lionsssssssssss!!!
