The Stormers scrum and Elton Jantjies pole kicking lost the game for the Stormers.
Morne Steyn is also back in good form. 7 out of 7 kicks at goal and solid tactical kicking
Jantjies exposed as a pretender, not up for the big stage. Surely Pietersen is in the lineup until Grant returns. Will that be at the expense of Taute or Aplon?
Seems like Liebenberg was also missed.
Good news from the Bok perspective (depending on your viewpoint) with Morne appearing to get back on track. Still a long season though so he might still get a case of the kicking yips like last year.
The Stormers can alwways sent Jantjies back to the Lions - if necessary to pay them compensation to take him back forthwith/ He more than anyone else missed all his kicks at goal - was abysmal kicking linekicks as well and his passing game was way behind the gain line and put all the backline players under pressure all the time.
I would say that there is also a problem with the Stormers Props - Kitshoff in particular was poor.
shitoff at prop was terribale. Bring in Malherbe and move what's his name from the Lions to the other side
What nonsense. Kitshoff scrumming is fine and the bulle tighhead should have been pinged a couple of times.
I have no worries re our scrum if Tiaan is fit. As i said Tiaan is a key player for us. I also said having a second big hooker was the weakness in the Stormers squad.
Amazing how fickle some oaks are. After all this time suddenly Kitshoff cant scrum.
