With the crap draw that the Stormers have this year they are going to have to score bonus points to make the play offs.
They are going to also have to win all or most of their home games and ensure that they rack up lots of 5 pointers in the process.
For their away tour, if they see they are going to lose during a game they just need to focus on getting 4 tries for a bonus pointto at least get something out of the game.
In 2009 the Stormers were great on attack, not sure what happened from 2010 onwards.

the title is so misleading, and not cos of sharkbok for once, lolz, :oP
burger never once says or implies that the stormers attack will be as good as their defence.
stormers IMO have the best backline in SA, but to be fair, there are plenty of new saffa faces across the SA conference with who im not familiar with, but when u the boast the likes of groom, caterkillis/grant, JDV, de allende, de jong, taute, aplon, howard, the makings is there to feild a backline which can compete with any team from any conference.
the strategy of emphasis on defence first has worked well in the past for the stormers with ruthless efficiency, but the same ol same ol and lack of evolving caught up with them last year with one of the spXV power clubs not even making the finals.
there was also what i call a waste of attacking potential, which excluding the cheetahs, was a nation wide thing.
i guess the stormers are bound to make improvements, after all improving an attack thats only better then than SA and OZ worst team, is not too hard to do
but with their focus now shifted, things are looking good for the stormers.

In a word, Coetzee. That's the beginning and end of their troubles. Everything the Stormers have achieved to date is the result of the work done by Nienaber. The Cheetahs are in a similar situation, coached by an imbecile who rides on the back of the work of the backs coach. Dick Muir did likewise with Camepese, though he gave Campese the brush-off and used that success to boost his own reputation - one that was brutally exposed shortly thereafter. I hope the Stormers do well, for South Africa's sake, but there is so much not right in that team. With that roster, there is no excuse for the level of mediocrity that have achieved ball in hand.

The stormers probably have one the hardest tours. The top 2 teams from Nz and Aus, but if they want to be champions they need to be able to beat them at home

reds arent what they use to be, and the brumbies losing white and knowing that mowen is gone, might be a bit stung.
if stormers have a near a full fit team in both OZ games, they will more then hold their own IMO.
cant see them winning any matches in NZ, especially against the chiefs and criusaders who have been two of the top three teams at the end of the round robbin in both 2012 and 2013.
will be huge for the stormers if they can win one of them, but shoudl they pull of two, the mental stability as well as the crucial points will work wonders for them should they reach the finals.
i just hope coetzee and those other WP babies stop their bitching and crying about the tough schedule, makes them look like bunch of fairies acting like a cat.
