Butch played a big part in sorting out the toothless Sharks attack, with some clever passing and kicking. The issue of Lambie's play was highlighted. But then the kamikaze flying high tackle. Frankly nutty as it was, one has to be in awe of  a 30 plus player with the guts to try that. But it lost the game as much as that missed last kick did. Butch was ever thus....feast or famine.....but never boring.

Mozart Did you watch the game at all? Butch James made one kick that can be regarded as "clever" - so what was so incredible about his performances?

OOm I know comprehension isn't your long suit, but  read the post again.....what I call incredible was his head high dive tackle. As for his impact on the Sharks, it was pretty obvious. As was the change in coaching, with clever touches like the Daniels high lift which negated the Bools rolling maul.

Butch?  Why does this kid loose his head.  All the good is negated by him being a hothead.  Now he has another four week holliday.  Stupid really, come to think of it..

Nothing has change with Butch, he started off his career by not being able to tackle properly and by being a hot headed idiot. With the experience he gained since then he learned....nothing! That said, I think his secret to success is that he gets in the face of his opponents, which I think disrupts their game. He is direct and is decent with ball in hand. Still, he was, is and always will be liability. Just on Lambie, how good was his kicking again on Saturday? Oh wait, it was shart....again!! I'd go as far as to say it cost the Sharks the game. I am yet to see the evidence of what it is that makes Lambie special. Everyone always talks him up....but I just don't see it. Morne's place kicking was good, but his tactical kicking not so good (Except that cross kick for the Bulls try). I can't believe how much Morne has improved his defense. As a lack of options, I reckon Morne should still be the no.10 for the Castle Championship. Anyone know how Goosen is progressing with his recovery from injury? He is the only player I'd put in ahead of Steyn.

A 4 week ban for James - no surprise at all. He must be used to that type of thing already - it also happened wherever he played previously.
