Can JJ balanace on the bench?

This 24.8 year old "youngster" is so accident prone  one has to wonder. In the last few months he was comprehensively outplayed by de Jongh and Sadie in domestic competitions. And he had five anonymous tests against RC opposition....three in a row where he literally never beat a tackle.

Finally he gets a test where the Boks have to attack and he actually uses his pace to advantage in the early going. But as the test evens up he hopelessly overruns a set move 5 metres out.....loses the ball on the stroke of half time to set up an AB try....and blows the tackle on Barrrett for the RC winning try.

This "youngster" is very lucky to still be on the bench. His main problem is, he simply doesn't read the game and intercede. He waits on station for the field to open up and for the pass to arrive, so he can run gloriously down the field. And so he becomes irrelevant to proceedings for large passages of time, unless the opposition has the ball, when his frantic high jersey grabbing tackles are a pure liability.

Despite everything I do believe that you are a very funny person.   You make a joke on the board and then think that people should take you seriously.   De Jongh outplaying anybody is really a serious joke.  

Rather De Allende outplaying the quaint little defence-lapse prone player is the case here .

I am much less worried about Engelbrecht on the bench than Fourie in the starting line-up.   Reason - Fourie had only played "soft touch rugby" in Japan for two years.   None of the players returning from Japan has been really successful - even the great Fourie du Preez was lukewarm in the Ellis Park test.   Would Fourie be any different - that is the question.  It could be a real problem - which should rather be discussed after the match.

At this stage the prejudice of Mozart is past boiling point - so there would be no logic forthcoming from that source.

Moz, there is little point in making things up as you go……..de Jongh has never come close to outplaying JJ and never will, unless a solitary half step constitutes a comprehensive beating……..as for Sadie who has emerged as a massive flop, he has not beaten anyone, let alone JJ, so your take is a complete fabrication.

As for JJ’s age, yes he is young, last I checked 24 was young and this is only JJ’s second season as a centre.

As for the bullshit that he only excels in space, what a joke, there was little space on hand when he slipped past Savea, stepped Cruden and ran straight through Conrad Smith.

Again you are fabricating his overrun of the Morne pass, video evidence shows that Morne delivered the pass behind JJ and JJ was NEVER ahead of Morne, JJ’s break at half time was at the instance of Morne at 10 and Jean at 12, his captain, bloody hell if they did not want to attack, one of them would have kicked the ball out……how obvious is that? As for the Barrett miss, how many more times do you lot need to be told that firstly Jean missed Barrett and then Morne missed Barrett……….you cant just keep asserting that JJ missed Barrett by telling a half truth…….be honest for once and tell the full story.

Fourie will get exposed by the impressive Davies and Meyer’s pathetic experiment of a bunch of old farts in the backline will be over……..but not before Meyer walks off with his tail between his legs.

Moz, all the attention you are giving JJ all the time confirms the fact that you are smarting after he silenced you in his last test. There is no way in hell Fourie will ever be able to replicate that kind of showing with ball in hand and you know it.

Yes JJ was a wing who has made great strides as a centre, so much so that he has set the new benchmark for a 13, you need the pace of a wing and the feet of a 12.....he is perfect.

So no, he is no longer a wing, he is a great 13 and proved that in the last test.

No way in hell would Meyer have been angry with JJ for that run on the half for if he was going to be angry that anger would have been directed at Morne or Jean for not clearing the line........they chose to attack, its that simple.

And bloody hell Moz, you keep banging on about the Barrett miss as if JJ was the only player to miss him............you are not making sense.

JJ is by some distance our best prospect at 13 and I cannot begin to understand why you are so anti the guy, its madness.

Who the hell would you be playing at 13 for the Boks.......please don't tell me it would be de Jongh????  

 Maybe we should say as follows;-

Maybe we should say De Jongh is on par with the no 13 of the second team of Wigatwortelfontein  High School  = Engelbrecht is much better than the 13 of the third team.

If Engelbrecht is worse than De Jong then he really must be hopelessly bad - since De Jongh is not worth any higher selection than the Vodacom Cup - he is a real drawback for the Stormers and WP.
