Can Richie Mccaw Tackle? Blues vs Crusaders

Just watching the recorded game now of the Blues vs Crusaders, and Mccaw has missed 2 "try saving" tackles in less than two minutes. 

In both cases just fell of the wingers even though he had his arms around them.
