The Stormers have not conceded a point in the last 3 matches. They have really turned their season around and looking strong for next year. They are actually just outside a play off spot which is some achievement considering they were at the bottom of the table for most of the season.
They have improved their attacking game, and Kurt Coleman is getting better with each match.
The Stormers recently beat the Cheetahs 33-0 at Newlands, and the Sharks lost to the Cheetas today.
It is going to be a tough ask for the Sharks to win against the Stormers to finish the tournament in 2nd place, let alone get 4 tries.
A bonus point win for the Crusaders could also keep them in 2nd position regardless of whether the Sharks win with 4 tries.
The Crusaders have a 10 point difference(points for vs against) which is pushes them into 2nd position
The Crusaders play the Highlanders at home next week and must be the favourites especially now with Carter and Reid getting some playing time under the belts.
It is also feasible that the Highlanders could beat the Crusaders with a bonus point win, and over take the Sharks, assuming the Sharks lose vs Stormers. If the Sharks lost, then the Sharks would finish 4th- were the Highlanders to win.
The Sharks season is really starting to unravel after the loss to the Stormers where they were in a commanding position to take a home semi and final, now at this point of the season- it is looking like the Crusaders are favourites for the home semi- which would mean the Sharks would have to travel to Christchurch for the semi.........
