...we are starting a 98kg, 6'2" flank, who will be 27 before he gets to play a second test. Not off the bench, this slight man Casiem goes straight into the starting team. Du Preez who was talked up all week and at least has the body of a test player is on the bench. Some fresh start.

I have never seen him play- or at least noticed him in the few games of this years curry cup. Is he a fetcher, if so why put him at blindside.
He must be the smallest blind side lock to have ever played for South Africa

That is true - but what makes it wo rse the man play as opensider for the Cheetahs and is not a top class ball protector and recoverer either - much better a loosie than useless Willem Alberts - but definitely a problem case.
Our loosie issue has been a bigger-up for years now - playing Louw - really a blindsider playing as an opensider and Fat Sloth Alberts as blindsider. That kills our loosie play and account for the poor situation in ball retention and recovery that is killing the team.
