Can you guys remember Huw Jones?

He played for the Scots on Saturday and did extremely well.   Good player that one - but he ran into Coetzee the Stormers coach at the time.
In a Super 15 game against the Hurricanes in Welington Juan de Jongh could not play due to injury.   For the first time in years the Stormers backline showed real punch and it was clear that Jones made a huge positive contribution to the Stormers side.
However, that did not count with Coetzee and he brught back Useless Juan as soon as he was fi t again and the backline went crackers again.
Jones was out of real contention for years and t was only this year that he was picked by Fleck to play CC rugby.   Jones is Scottish and  was  selected for the Scotland test team - but according to Coetzee he was not good enough to be a Stormers regular.
That shows us all what Coetzee knows about backline play - a clueless dunce and some people supported his appointment.   I am happy to confirm that I wrote repeatedly on this site the idiot should not be appointed - and I believe my contention was confirmed after the tests this year.

 What the hell has that to do with Jones?   By the way Jordaan is a much better 13 than De Jongh ever was.   Jordaan got a foreign contract - something De Jongh will never get.  

Rubbish Jordaan lost the S15 final after Reid snotklapped the wee tyke. De Jongh got a Springbok cap which is something Jordaan will never get.

 Getting a Springbok blazer is in the environment over the last 5 years is not a badge of honour and  not reflecting any performance norm.   Whenever Jordaan played against De Jongh he showed he is a better player.
Fat Fransie also got a Springbok when he played good rugby - but over the last 5 years he was BS and Esterhuizen a better option than Fatso.

 Don't worry about me - just look at actual performance of the players you tout constantly.
By the way Jordaan had a missed tackle ratio of 4% in one of the Super Rugby years as against a 28% ratio of De Jongh.    That is if De Jongh actually attempt a tackle and not ducking out of tackles.   He goes AWOL often enough.

Yes he had one or two good games- in the only one or two games he played. A one-dimensional crash ball was holding him out the team. 

 So what was with PSDT in that last game ,10 minutes in and hes slowly strolling to the breakdown sucking in the big ones .Is he always like that ?

Juan was never anything special. He was always going to be a test flop. Too small ... too slow ... too weak ... and sadly not much understanding of defensive lines and structures.
He wouldn't have made my Super Rugby starting 15.
He became a Bok under Allister because of a promise made ages back. Merit and talent had nothing to do with it.
Bongi wassits name is also there because of the promise.

Actually de Jongh was a Bok long before Coetzee and was certainly more effective than flavour of the day Venter. At the end of the day he is limited by size in a world of giants....but then so are the wisp Goosen, Lambie and Jantjies all of whom still have their misguided adherents, even though not one has turned in one effective game for the Boks this year. Stephanie has been a zero on this tour. We need a powerhouse partner for Etzebeth.

 When was De Jongh effective?   Not since 2012 when he went AWOL in two tests and then dropped from the Meyer squad because he was useless.   He was harmless in the tests he played in and was totally defective in both defense and attacking play - your statement that he organized the defense missing tackles galore was the level you apparently appreciate. 
As to Venter he has shown ten times more this year than De Jongh either on Springbok level and for his franchise.   There can be doubt about Venter being the answer - but there can be no doubt that De Jongh is NOT the answer.    
So idiocy reign supreme here again - comparing flyhalfs with centers.   Flyhalfs are generally smaller than centers - but then you do not understand flyhalf play and think that donkey-kicking is all that is required from flyhalfs.
