Canada beat Georgia yesterday in a fairly physical affair. We dominated the first half, but had to defend a bit against the Georgians in the second half. We did well though and took it by a nice margin of 31-12. I was lucky enough to be able to watch it live as it was in my home town!

Our SA born winger, Van der Merwe scored a nice try, while our full back, Pritchard, picked up 21 points in the win.

Canada finished 2-1 with wins against the USA, Georgia, and the 1 loss to the Italians. It should keep us planted in our world ranking position of 13th.

Very nice avatar canned rugby just how I imagine a canadian to look! Better looking than kiwis of course.

Good win against Georgia who ususally have a tough pack

Yes you guys need to think of breaking intpo the top 10. Canada could be a sleeping giant rigbywise.

Not a bad result for Canada. Georgia are a pretty tough side.

Thanks guys! :)

It was a physical game, but we were missing a couple of our better players, while I'm sure so was Georgia, but still a convincing win.

A couple of guys you may have heard of were in the lineup for Canada.

Jeb Sinclair was playing Lock, Van der Merwe(Glasgow Warriors) was playing Wing, And Phil Mackenzie(London Welsh) played Inside Centre.

 Hey canrugby, another question. That monster loosie from Georgia, Gorgonzole or something like that, did he play?

Canadian rugby making far better progress than rugby in the USA. Americans were pathetic against Italy-having two players deservedly sent off in Houston for shocking shoulder charges-one of them a typical Samoan blockhead and the other (Emerick) a serial idiot-these guys should be thrown out of rugby-everybody loves to see a good hit, but they have made foul player "cool" with idiotic head-high shoulder charges only they could describe as "tackles"!

@EK

I gotta be honest, I don't really know. I was half cooked when I got there and it continued from there..............I just knew the Canadian guys, and don't really know any players from Georgia. I know their big, and I know that they were missing a couple of their better players, as a few Georgians were sitting near us and told us.

Cool win, but I can't recall the Canadians ever shying away from the physical stuff. Must be because of the hockey you guys play, no sport for softies either.
