I was surprised to see this.

Not sure how accurate it is, but it is significant to have a 19-year-old start a test.
Fassi must be disappointed given he was dropped, and then when an injury happened he was leapfrogged by Moodie.

We still have to see how fast he is at the test level. He looks like the type of player that could also become an outside centre if he is not the fastest winger. He seems strong and by the time he is 22-23 he could be strong enough to be an outside centre.

And from those, only Fransie lived up to his potential...I really hope Moodie bucks the trend...

I think the Blocks will win and then Moodie will be a 45 cap career no matter how he plays.

The bits I have seen of him have been pretty impressive. He is very strong and according to Jake will play 100 tests for the Boks Jake said he is a 13, it’s where he has apparently played all his junior rugby Fassi was sent back to the Sharks to work on his defence - he is highly rated by the Bok coaches Given that he was to work on his defence he was not going to be recalled to the Boks right now

I've only seen the highlight reel. Nothing much impressive in there, not even raw pace. Mostly just unopposed canters to the line. We'll see how he goes.

It would be nice to have outright Habana type pace at wing ... but I'd be prepared to sacrifice a little pace for a brain and a higher work rate off the ball.

I hope he has a cracker on Saturday.

As for Franie living up to his potential ... disagree.

He was brilliant in the 2007 WC and I thought we had a superstar in the making ... but that wasn't to be.

He ended up being an average joe trying to impress the world by taking drop shots from his own 22. He made an arse of himself many times by shanking the ball into the crowd 10m away.

I never understood the hype after that.

Certainly never managed to get back to his 2007 WC form.

This Nickrnerd fella makes a habit of tossing rookie players into a hellfire initiation......tries to destroy their careers before it kicks off, it makes me wonder where he picked up his coaching degree.

Well you fucking survive if you're good enough. Suppose none of your lot are... so it is suicide no matter what. Quisling the idiot.
