As Nienaber departs and Harrassmiss remains Director of Rugby, there is room for a new NotCoach. I guess Stick is probably the leading in house candidate. But for those who believe the Boks could be awesome with a functioning backline, a coach with backline credentials would be a positive move.

Any names come to mind?

There's still a part of me that hopes the "mental health" issues Swys had was just an excuse or something and that he could still become Bok coach.

No chance there, he has occasionally been moderately critical of Harrassmiss….kiss o’ death.

Moz, I have a hopeful conspiracy that Swys and Rassie didn't see eye to eye, and that's why Swys left...siting mental health as an excuse.

Sauron has a shifty eye, wouldn’t surprise me.

A good long term idea… but he needs to coach a team at the club level. But an assistant NotCoach may be on.

"assistant NotCoach"

He was sittting in the coaches box with Rassie a few weeks back...and club is listed as SA Rugby...he's going into coaching...will probably be the new defence coach.

For the fiorst time in 20 years the Sprinboks have a functioning coach coaching 15 man rugby and not 10 man rugby like we got between 2 000 and 2018. . So why the sudden emphasis on backline play - you used to be a person  saying  kicking flyhaldsw represent rtraditional SA  rugby and that 90% of the fun ction of flyhalfs is to kick balls.   and S teyn wa yoiur ideal flyhalf.

It is rather late in life for you to change your time  about trasditioonal SA rugby.    .

Na Beeno, if you want Dobbo to take the job, he musy be able to assemble his own coaching team...the Bok assistant coaching team's contracts have all been extended...best man for the job, but I don't see it happening...let him win us another couple of URC trophies first.

Give Eddie Jones a bash with South Africa. I surmise he's looking for good material to rebuild a rugby national side, he thought he could with Oz, but it seems he overestimated Australia's driving power to improve, Aussie Rules and League are eroding Wallaby pride. Ja, he's a risk but initially did miracles with Japan and for a few years with difficult mixed up Pomies. Jake as well, might fix a few things like discipline.

No matter who coaches, Erasputin dictates the model. He is the coaching equivalent of a cyanide capsule.
