It was interesting to see that the Rebels last week beats the Waratahs in their pre-season match - so despite the absence of the terrible twins - James and Beale - they seems to be performing better than expected,

What was surprising was that the Canes last week beat the Blues woth a team that had some All Blacks missing.   However the squad to face the Rebels is the following:-

Hurricanes: 15 Andre Taylor, 14 Nehe Milner-Skudder, 13 Tim Bateman, 12 Hadleigh Parkes, 11 Matt Proctor, 10 Marty Banks, 9 TJ Perenara, 8 Victor Vito, 7 Ardie Savea, 6 Brad Shields, 5 Mark Reddish, 4 James Broadhurst, 3 John Schwalger, 2 Dane Coles, 1 Ben Franks.
Replacements - from: Ash Dixon, Chris Eves, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, Brendon Edmonds, Jeremy Thrush, Mark Abbott, Jack Lam, Blade Thomson, Billy Guyton, Chris Smylie, Beauden Barrett, Cardiff Vaega, Julian Savea, Cory Jane.

I am particularly interested in Ardie Savea and am happy to see he is their no 7.   Nice one for future Fantasy selection.

Andre Taylor was a serious flop last year - wonder how he is going to shape up this year?

Sasue - are you going to see this match.  Would b nice - since we can then get a good report on this game.

 ...not so clever mike,,i think the Rebels are a better team this year as there might be a few more Kiwis in the team giving them some backbone for a change...

...but the Canes should steam roll them as they were only mucking around with the Blues last week...

...you can count on me for a totally unbiased match report...fair and balanced just like Fox News....

Brycy

Thank you very much - a report will be appreciated.

By the way the Rebels lost the only Kiwi player worth his salt - Geb Robinson - and whatever they get new would not be comparable.   Why Hansen mugs around with others and do not play Robinson as AB Hooker beats me hollow.  But then NZ people do not know anything about forward play - so that is perhaps the answer.

@brother mikey,

i am going to the game, even though its all the way in F-ing geelong as always when it comes to vs NZ preseason matches.

i will of course give a report to the best of my abilities, but ive got a bottle of port and a dozen coronas ready to give me hurricane energy before we hit the pub and then the game.
couple that with my hatred for mark hammet who is the worst coach in the history of the multiverse, and im hoping i dont spend most of the match trying to give mark hammet my evil eye sharingan style,

woah, me so scary,
