Carr and Adriaanse added to EOYT squad . . .

Lourens Adriaanse and Nizaam Carr have been named as the replacements for Jannie du Plessis and Jaco Kriel respectively.

Jaco Kriel picked up an injury playing in Japan while Jannie du Plessis has taken time off to be at the birth of his 3rd child.

The replacements are not too surprising given that both Adriaanse and Carr were in the squad to play the Barbarians but I'm a bit disappointed that Sikhumbuzo Notshe wasn't considered now that he is apparently over his ankle injury. That said, I have no problems with Nizaam Carr who is a fine player in his own right but I'm pretty sure we have several better tighhead options than Lourens Adriaanse.

The revised squad is:

Forwards: Lourens Adriaanse, Willem Alberts, Nizaam Carr, Lood de Jager, Jean-Luc du Preez, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Eben Etzebeth, Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch, Malcolm Marx, Bongi Mbonambi, Franco Mostert, Tendai Mtawarira, Trevor Nyakane, Oupa Mohoje, Roelof Smit, Adriaan Strauss (captain), Warren Whiteley.

Adriaanse looks like a 50 year old Italian chef! He doesn't play a hell of a lot better than said chef either.  

Yes, there are fat American golfers who look more like professional sportsmen than Lourens Adriaanse.
