Carter disagree with saSUE says tackle was legitimate

Dan Carter says the tackle that ended his Rugby Championship season was legitimate.

The All Blacks flyhalf, the greatest No 10 to have ever played the game in my view, tweeted: ‘Nothing wrong with the tackle. Fell awkwardly and popped my AC joint which I’m pretty gutted about but proud of the boys getting the win.’

Bismarck du Plessis was yellow carded for the 17th minute tackle on Carter, who was playing in his 97th Test. Carter has experienced an injury ravaged season and started in just three of the All Blacks seven Tests.

Carter a fortnight ago became the first player in the game’s history to pass 1400 Test points. He has won 85 of his 97 Tests.

Carter has scored 245 points against the Springboks in 18 Tests, 14 of which the All Blacks have won.

Former All Blacks captain Taine Randell also said Du Plessis was wronged for the yellow card on Carter.

He wrote in a Fairfax Media column: ‘I am so disappointed with the way a number of controversial decisions, which still don’t make any sense to me, dictated the game.

‘Bismarck du Plessis’s yellow card for a legitimate tackle on Dan Carter was totally unfair, and as a fan I’ve not been able to watch the best of what we’ve got, against the best of South Africa.

‘Last night’s game was not decided on equal measure and at this level of the game, that is not acceptable

Brother Bueno that's how it's been reported in all the newspapers unfortunately. Others have also looked at Dupleiss's history and added two and two together.

I doubt whether he will get off on the elbow to the neck charge though as you must admit that can be dangerous even if careless.

Hopefully he will be available when we play the Springboks in Johannesberg though as we don't want any excuses for another Springbok loss do we.

AUCKLAND (AFP) - All Blacks ace Dan Carter could be sidelined for up to six weeks as his injury-blighted year suffered a further setback in their 29-15 win over the Springboks on Saturday.

It's a further blow for the Rugby Championship leaders who have already lost captain Richie McCaw for at least four weeks.

Carter, the world's leading points scorer, grimaced in pain as he went down in a shoulder charge by Springboks hooker Bismarck du Plessis in the 15th minute of the fiery fourth-round match.

"He's done an AC (joint) and they're usually four to six weeks," coach Steve Hansen said.

Du Plessis, who was sent to the sin bin for the charge, was later automatically red-carded out of the game when he received a second yellow card for elbowing Liam Messam in the throat.

No doubt that he will be suspended for his transgressions. Thou art saying harden up whilst crying about 14 men . Funny az Brother Bueno . That was just our B team so the Mighty Springboks should have been able to handle that surely.

well its cos of threads like this, i questioned the off side once and after watching it again, i havent questioned how much of a BS call it was as stated by the many comments on the matter posted in many but not all of the one thrid of poite related threads.
