I see these games are not advertised for the weekend. Surely Sky must be showing them given they have shown most the games?

They might decide, later on in the week, to have it on the red button but I would not be too surprised if the do not show it. It is the first rounds of the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup and both Sky and BT have committed to give big coverage of the games with the new deals that they have signed.

Money talks. They do not have that big an interest in a watered down CC as opposed to a NH multinational competition, in which they have a vested interest , I suppose.

Yep APD it would make no sense showing the CC throughout the season and then missing the semi's

I have e-mailed them, you lot should do the same

Possibly Dave, I'd love to see more coverage of SH rugby in the way of analysis and news on Sky.
Rather than some the awful NH stuff they show currently.

They did respond to my e-mail and to their credit this is not the first time they have actioned a request. Good on Sky

I just hope I can record the games as my sons rugby festival is on this weekend.

APD, you should do yourself a favour and come watch, its the best schools rugby festival in the country.

16 of the top schools sides compete over Sat and Sunday, its in Ipswich which is just down the road from you, you will love it.

My boy is sadly out with ligament damage, this is the second festival he has missed through injury and it would have been his last. So gutted

Saf... there is no need to be embarrassed if your boy cant make the 1st team.
I too didnt manage to play first team... but i have other talents to make up for it (I am incredibly well hung), as i am sure your boy has other talents too as well.
Look, did you know that Willem Alberts also battled to make his first team at Monnas. He was too fat for a loosie, to tall for prop and couldnt play lock cos he was too hefty to lift. There were a number of ex cricketrs who also didn't play 1st XI at school. I seem to recall Mike Rindle being one of them.
It happens man. Hopefully your son will be in the same boat and will be a late bloomer like Alberts.

Um my son is injured what the hell does that have to do with not living up to expectation and me being embarrassed?

He made his schools first team side last season before the shoulder dislocation so its pretty much a given he has played 1st all season this year.

Late bloomer........what part of my post did you actually read?

na just that my ol man also used to make excuses for m not making the first team, so kinda sounded like saf was tooting along those same lines for his son being a failure.

Where's the rugby festival, Dave? Gutted to hear about your boy boet , nothing worse than seeing your teammates play when you're injured on the touchline.

Its at St Josephs College in Ipswich, brilliant weekend of top class schools rugby.

First game is at 9am.......each match is 10min each half, each side plays 3 on the day

Beer tent, plenty of food and over a 1000 people watching.

Sides from Wales, Scotland and England

He's a Flyhalf and you have taken him away from SA!! We need 10's here man! Ligament damage is a biatch, I've have had my own knee ligament damage to deal with, it takes forever! Hope he gets over it soon though, it is so frustrating for a kid to sit on the side lines. Hard question, you think he has what it takes to get to provincial rugby level and above, or is it just a case of wait and see?
