CC semi-finals

After lingering on the bottom of the CC log  for nearly half the series the Lions and Bullss came through to be number 3 and 4 on the log.
The semi's will be as follows:-
Sharks  vs  BullsWP  vs  Lions.
The forecast of results will be very complicated.   The Bulls started of poorly and Mitchell took over their coaching, The upshot was a fantastic game by them yesterday and they are definitely a threat to the Sharks.
The Lions are also a formidable side and WP will have to play at the top of their abilities to beat them.     

 It was pleasing to see both the Pumas and Griquas racking up a number of wins and some decent points.Cheetahs  fielded their second string and this will build depth. I am looking forward to seeing where things go with the Cheetahs. They are earning good money in Europe and will quite possibly buy well at the end of the year. Boot could be on the other foot as they ransack other SA sides! .

Disaster for the Cheetas- particularly since they chose Pro14 players who should have been resting. 

 T he Cheetahs players have been over-used.   They played through the Super Rugby series and then had to contend in the cc and afterwards in the Pro 14,    Nearly nine months of rugby without a reasonable break and that will continue after October 27.

 Here is hoping the Bulls account for the sharks. Shutting up that extreme blowhard, chest beating rooitwitterbug makes that a pleasing thought!
I look forward to see what Mitchell will do with Serfontein and Kriel and suspect ou Campo and some buffoons here might be left red fac ed.  We shall see what happens.

 Campo was 100% right about Serfontein and Kriel - whatever skills they possessed as juniors had been coached out of them by Ludeke and Meyer (same as happened to Pollard) and proper coaching may yet help the three players.
