Le Clos won the final heat in the 400 Individual Medly - and he is swimming in Lane 5.   The winner of an earlier heat has a faster time than he did.   He beat Ryan Lochle in his heat - and in the final would be Michael Phelps, Lochlie and the fastest qualifyer - a Japanese giuy.

Phelps was the 8th fastest qualifier - he nerly missed out of the final altogether.

Please pray that Le Clos win the final - we have to support the Durban boykie.

Chad came fifth in the final - but as he said, he was rated 25 in the woorld a year ago and now he came fifth.   At 19-20 years of age that is really a huge achievement.    The problem was his time in the heat was slightly slower than in the final.   If that was not the case he could even have been second.

However, it was not all bad news - cameron Van den Burgh won his semi in the 100 meters by breaking the Olympic record.   He is to be in lane 4 in the final tonight.    Definitely a medal contender - probably gold.   The other swimmers were at least ,6 of second slower than him.   Lets hold thumbs on that one.
