Cheetah's loosies dominated
Agreed in many areas, although I would not rule out Lappies.
I believe the stats for the competition will show he has been one of the most consistent loose forwards, or perhaps even the best performer in the whole SuperXV.
The Cheetas played badly as a whole today.
The Stormers are a team than when they click they do not allow the oppostion to play.
When the Stormers get their attack right they are still one of the best teams in the tournament.
I like how you've completely dismissed the Cheetahs win against the Stormers in their first meeting.
I've always thought that Rhule and Adriaanse aren't deserving of the Boks as well as saying there are better options than Van Zyl (rated Reinach higher), Van Der Walt (Botha), Ebersohn (Serfontein) and De Jager (Etzebeth).
Labuschagne, Nyakane, Willie, Coenie and Strauss are all quality.
Please don't share your views and opinions in the same light as the 'professionals'....
Moz, a 127kg prop missing a world class wing is a given. Coenie was not athletic enough to get to Habana. Coenie had a great game, his charges with ball in hand were a pleasure to watch and at times he really kicked arse in the scrums.
Labascagne had a quite game, disagree on Fourie outplaying Brussouw, I preferred Brussouw in a loosing cause. Lood has had a great year at 4 and for once he was quiet.
I expected more from the Cheetahs, but it was a good day for the Stormers. de Allende was good again at 13 and the stand out player in the forwards was Kolisi
This really pisses me off when people on here slag off players that are only in their first or second year of super rugby. I think Kolisi had a great game and he just showed what an attacking threat he is with ball in hand. To me he is our future Liam Messam, exactly the same build and have the skill to match.
The cheetahs didn't really perform last night and to be honest most of the first 60 mins was a snooze fest, it only got a bit lifely once De Allende start punching wholes in the midfield.
I have never much paid attention to Lood but this kid is 21!!!! We really have some fantastic youngsters for the future.
For me Kolisi is a must to start for the boks, Marcel Coetzee have been extremely dissapointing this year. Must be going through that second year blip, players know who is now and know how to mark him out of the game.
For the boks my back three would be
6. Kolisi
7. Louw
8. Vermeulen
Sub Alberts.
Ugm ugm. Considering the teams the Cheetah's had they have always been underperforming. Not to even count the altitude advantage they have.
Stormers got cheated last with a dodgy penalty so they decided to give the Blik Ore a free 3 pointer at the start and shut them up for the rest of the game
Spoony, what are you on about? Last time the Cheetahs beat you fair and square, typical Western Province supporter...
Well I saw Coenie kicking Harris's arse a good few times.
Lucid you are speaking a load of shit, Lood has been a huge find for the Cheetahs this year and everyone has commented as much. The lad has made a few S15 sides of the week. Maybe you should catch a wake up.
I was actually is little disappointed in Etzebeth, he was good, but only marginally better than Lood.
Lood has the potential to be a Bok, of that I have no doubt. He is a better prospect than the likes of Flip and Kruger aged 20
Shezza if you take that sentece seriously I take it your a Cheaters I mean Cheetah's supporter?
Its Stormers playing mate. Different franchise,
@Saffex
Was that before or after Coenie conceded 3 penalties?
You are living in a dreamworld Spoon, Coienie did not concede 3 penalties.
Its about as accurate on your take Kolisi vs Brussouw.......last I checked they both played 6 on Sat - what does that tell you wise man???
@Saffex are you the same one who said Willie had linebreaks?
Dunno but this site is accurate with its stats
http://www.rugbystats.com.au/matches/rugby/match21332.html
Did you use fantasy rugby to get stats?
Last time I checked Fourie is the openside who was the jackal and Kolisi the ball carrier performing the blindside's job.
In South Africa and France blindside is 7 rest of the world 6
I said nothing about Willie and I dont need stats to tell me how well a player did. I saw Coenie with my own eyes and he was good in the scrums and general play. He missed Habana, I have no issue with a prop missing a wing. Coenie is mobile for a big guy, but that mobility is very relative
I saw him too and and he gave 3 away.
I agree with you partly with Coenie he is the best we currently got. But we do not have many in the prop cupboard. World class they are not and they lack technique
Rubbish we have good young props to burn. Coenie did not give away 3 penalties
Coenie, Nkanyane, Adriaanse, Kitshoff, Malherbe, Beast, Herbst, Frik Kirsten, Mellett, Beast and Marcel v/d Merwe are all quality props
Coenie was penalised three times. www.espn.co.uk/super-rugby-2013/rugby/match/170251.html
I forgot. You do not believe in facts.
Stats....... facts. Same thing poepol.
Yeah if you are stupid enough to believe that some twit marks down a missed tackle when its clearly not. But best of all stats provide no context at all and only those that lack a real eye for the game swear by them - let me guess stats turn you on
Saffex only believes in his own deluded opinion and when anybody disagrees or offers an opinion he is an idiot and all the rest. This is the same rhetorc all the time. First class cock head who is always offsides.
Dunno why a guy at age 24 is suddenly converted to a tighthead. He should have been converted long time ago.
He can't get bigger as his BMI is already at 36. He can just add fat which would be unhealthy
