As a consolation to Saffex - I credit Hougaard with a solid game - bar for two mistakes he made - so this week he gets 5.5/10 on my scorecard.
There is one thing that bothers me about Matfield - every time he comes onto the field the Bulls scrum is weakened. It happened last week and it happened again this week. His line out takes were acceptable - but the driving mauls tends to go sideways nore than forward.
Serfontein trued a few times to carry the ball - but did not make much headway. Engelbrecht had the ball once and ran sideways with it until he was tackled and the result was really zero.
Not a performance the Bulls should be proud about at all. Last week for a while they dominated the Sharks forwards - thus week my vote goes to the Cheetahs forwards for showing better control and defence than the Bulls.
Bsson really did not show anything - he took a high ball from the air - went down and lost possession of it. His rating this week because of that one incident can go to 3/10
An improvement in the performance by Hougaard but no real improvement in the performances of Serfontein and Engelbrecht. There was one or two incidents where Sadie showed more life than Engelbrecht did - so on balance Sadie put in a better performance than Engelvrecjt.
And Mozart will obviously miss the case where Labuschagne tackled Flippie backwards like he was just another backline player. And he would hate this - but Goosen plated the conditions very well and bar a few ultra long range kicks - his goal kicking was excellent. Mozart - don't worry we all know you are consistently wrong in all your player performance assessments - so we have real sympathy with you.
