 ...Ulster trailng 14 - 8 at one point in the game but have only ever lost once at home and even then it was only by one point....42 - 19 to Ulster in the end...
Marcell Coetzee had a big game for Ulster and was right in the thick of the action.. Quite a few Saffas in the Ulster team - Ludik on the wing scored a try, Herbst and Deysel heavily involved today - Deysel named MOM... no sign of Schalk van de Merwe yet..
Quite along season for the Cheetahs after playing 17 rounds of Super Rugby, plus another seven rounds of Currie Cup - they now face another 21 rounds of Pro14...

 I am not sure about Ulster - their line-out play was nopt good enough and theys struggled in the scrumming.
I think the Springboks badly need Coetzee - he is top class as an 8.   I think that the Cheetahs was about as good as they appear to be in certain facets of play - they will win some matches in the comp.   

 I don't think that was even Ulster's A team that the Cheetahs conceded six tries to...the Cheetahs might have speed to burn in their backkline but that thumping might indicate they need to tighten up their defence somewhat....
 a good start to the season for Ulster and new coach former Maori AB Jonno Gibbes in his first job as head coach.....previously he'd been a forwards coach for Leinster and Clermont
...and who would have known Tommy Bowe was a centre...that's another string to his bow...maybe the Irish coach will look to utilise his hidden talent...

 B side obviously. They focus on european cups, those pro 14 matchs are training/drilling games for youth or to regain match fitness etc

It is going to hit SA fully in the face. So far, SA level benefited from distorting factors like the geography, a SR running to SA benefit, other nations focusing on club level rather than international side level etc

As SA franchises are going to be integrated in european competitions, their haplessness is going to be exposed. Even if they will benefit from distorting factors to inflate their level like foreign sides coming to SA to play in the heat of the summer. Not sure that foreign sides are going to commit for those games.

Italian sides rejoiced when they learned SA sides would join, they were given an opportunity of beating sides on a regular basis.

 And the other SA side was well beaten.
Game went simply too fast for them to cope with, too many safe hands in the other team, too much skill.

SA rugby poor level is going to be exposed big time.

SA was given a pass with preferential refeering,  favourable schedules etc

Now that they must compete in the same league as others, with no blind spots, they are going down.

Well, one could guess, SAns will keep the tale alive by appriopriating NH clubs successes through SA players.

Time to count every SA players in every NH teams, SA tale will be that these clubs owe their achievements to the SA players they hire.

 ...Ironic or is that paradoxical the SA players playing for Ulster were key in undermining SA hopes of impressing in this new Pro14 tournament..Also it was Shark players having a win away and one at home against the Cheetahs albeit some of them former Sharkies playing for Ulster now ..
