Watching the incredible passion, bad behaviour and desperate effort in the Chelsea match, one couldn't help but contrast it with the Sharks /Cheetahs boreathon. Here we had the (potential) top and bottom teams playing each other as if there was no tomorrow....and soccer tends to always give a hard trying team a chance, witness the FA Cup.
In the Sharks/Cheetahs match that edge wasn't there. The Sharks in spite of a few passengers, were just so much better.
Then there were the injuries yesterday...Chavanga, Lood, Jean, Cat....Willie was hobbling, Frans was in pain. The S15 meat grinder is eating up our players and in reply to the immortal question of the Gladiator, we are not entertained.
This tournament desperately needs to be shortened to get the passion back.
