On the home page the Chiefs coach is basically saying that the travelling is not an issue for the Sharks, because the Chiefs played a game in SA and then travelled back to NZ and were able to perform again. Seriously, is he trying to liken making the trip twice, to making it three times at the end of a long season, with all three games being knockout games, and all away from home????? Pull the other one! Sharks are up against it not because they are playing the Chiefs at home, but because of the enormous amount of traveling. Also, travelling East to West is tough, but West to East is much tougher...but to go West to East, back East to West, and then back East again....simple crazy!!! I have travelled once West to East and battled to get my internal clock sorted out.
Chiefs coach on Sharks travelling
off course he will play it down to keep his guys motivated. I would be surprised if he didn't
its tough but the sharks medical team knows what needs to be done. i think the biggest issue this week will be to let the side recover and rest and maybe just prepare them to. i think they can pull it off be frank. i really do believe that. the travelling will be tough but i bet you they will throw the kitchen sink at the chiefs come saterday. its a hug chance for them 80 min's away from glory so one does not need any more motivation than that. the chiefs are a great side but i also feel they are a bit mentally fragile. just hope the sharks are well rested. hopefully lambie and jordaan will be 100% then we will see them in full flight on saterday. its just important to score quickly on saterday but i think it will be a great game
If Lambie and Jordaan are fit, it may just be enough of a boost to lift the team. It's is going to tough.
As a coach I would be hard pressed on what to actually do with the squad... Let them rest up and do as little training as possible or try keep a normal weekly training routine?
i would just rest them for a couple of days will very light work.but i am sure there medical team will advice plums to how to approach the game. timing is key i think ot get the best out of them
Yeah, I reckon one or two light training sessions and pleanty of rest. Surely they have their gameplan etc sorted. Nothing really left to practice.
I'd like to make one point here. As a Bulls man, I reckon the Sharks are the currently the best franchise team in the tournament. Their rubbish start to the season just left them with so much to do at the end, that they are now in an almost impossible situation. Anyway, GO SHARKS!!!! (Never thought I'd say that)
