Would love to see how my Stormers would do against any of these 2 teams.

My impression is this game was much more intense than most NH matches. That said McKenzie was by far the best back on the field, suggesting things haven’t progressed all that much.

The Saders backs looked toothless. They talked up Havili big time, but the Boks have never had any problems with him. And Moanga blew the whole thing with a stupid box kick from inside his 22 which handed possession back to the Chiefs, who immediately scored to take the lead.

One would have to assume the ABs involved are much better prepared for the WC….higher intensity and playing for and against their team mates.

Going up north was a huge mistake.

mmm....we can't really know before we've seem them play each other...in the past, NZ teams looked fantastic when playing each other, just to look more mortal as soon as they play a good SA side...going up North was the only option after they kicked us out...we can be glad the Celts were willing to accommodate us.

Congrats to the Chiefs! By all accounts a great game with D Mac putting in a very good performance. I just hope he’s not seen as too erratic for the WC. You’d have to think he’s at least selected as a backup as he’s versatile & that he plays in the second tier games.

Awesome game with the Mighty Chiefs coming out on top after a titanic struggle.

Saders unlucky to not have half time lead with 2 tries disallowed but them’s the breaks with 2 knock-ons picked up in the build-up to both.

Mounga to start at 10 in tests for me, Beauden at 15 and DMac the awesome sub for the 2nd half when the opposition tires.

Shaun Stevenson has to also be in the ABs with his outstanding skills and pace. He is comfortable at either wing or fullback. With Will Jordan in the wings waiting to re-enter the fray, the ABs will have a back 3 and subs that any other team will envy.

Fair point on the disallowed tries….not sure the one ball actually went forward. To me it looked like it was going towards the Saders and the touch tipped it up if anything.

Moz, With Gardiner charging through and touching the ball with his fingertips, I don’t think it was possible for the ball not to travel forward, even if ever so slightly.

Some supporters are fooled when the ball bounces back towards the attacking team but of course it’s what happens in the air that counts.

". . . in the past, NZ teams looked fantastic when playing each other, just to look more mortal as soon as they play a good SA side . . ."
This is just plain delusional. The opposite was true. I remember our best sides being taken to the cleaners on their tours to NZ, getting hammered by NZ teams who often rested their best players against us as they saved them for the much tougher games against the other NZ sides. Then they'd come here and do it all again. I don't have the win/loss stats of the respective sides to hand but I'm pretty sure they speak for themselves.
Moolaa, I agree with your assessment and I still think Mounga is your RWC 1st 5. Steven Perofeta is a contender for the #15 jersey when fit and Caleb Clarke may not have the pace of Stevenson but he's almost unstoppable when he's given some space. Whichever combination your lot go for, the All Blacks will have the most dangerous back 3 at the RWC and your backline players on the bench would walk into any other test side.
Not entirely convinced you have your normal firepower in the pack but I'm not writing the All Blacks off at thi s RWC. If anything I think they'll be even more dangerous without the usual favourites tag,

This was true most of the time, but not always...there were a few exceptions. Stop being such a d!ck most of the time.

So hang on, let me get this straight . . . I very kindly take the time and the trouble to set you straight on a subject you're clearly very ignorant about and instead of thanking me, you tell me I'm being a dick?
Tell you what Squeaky Toy, I'll stop being a dick most of the time if you stop being a stupid, whiny blubbering little crybaby all the time.
Deal?

OK, so a passable vocabulary doesn't necessarily translate into good comprehension...gotcha! Ignorant my arse...from what you wrote one would think no Saffa team was ever able to win a match against the NZ rugby gods...stop being such a gatkruiper...

...and I don't make deals with miserable cowards like you...and it's not in your nature not to be a d!ck.

There's irony for you . . . the most embarrassingly obsequious, fawning and grovelling suck-up in the history of this board calling someone else a gatkruiper.

LMAO!

Rudeneck's stupidity is like an elemental force of nature...no point in fighting it...Earth, Wind, Fire and Water don't have a patch since Rooi introduced: Fart...an unique blend of the original 4, but with an added twist of spite ...unstoppable !

We experience the wee lass very differently. She'd like to have us believe she's a force of nature. It never amounts to more than a little squeak. Or maybe more of a scurry, like a cockroach. It always ends with Mrs Searle being humiliated. I can't help but think we're enablers for her strange fetish.
