 Card, we won the stats against Ireland, but lost the game. Against the Irish we almost ran at all cost with no variation. Easy to defend, perfectly illustrated by Lambie, Willie and Reinach with his try. A simple kick over the defencive line, gather and score. The difference in the two games: a loss by 14 vs a win by 3, but the game was already safe when the Poms scored their last try. Lambie made a lot of mistakes, but he won us the Ellispark test with a long distance preasure kick and he created at least 1 try against the poms AND  put us at least 2 scores ahead with a drop goal at a crucial point in the match. Try again sir.

Wwe were far more domianant againstIreland and about 20 points better.Anybody thinking Lambie is better than Pollard needs his head checked out!
Reinach could be the better scrummie as he seems to have amore rounded game. Time will tell.

But dear foe, what argument does that have against my summary of hougie and jannie?

Look dont get me wrong... I am not bleating lambies praises either. he had a good game and read it nicely.
But as for hougaard, look i used to be a huuuge hougaard fan, but i have just lost patience with him. Yes he played nicely against the ABs and Oz in South Africa, but a good player needs to be more consistent.
He also seems to lack the zest and hunger that Reinach has.
THey play a very similar game (as you said), but at this juncture, Reinach is my man.
Jannie... Similar scenario. He looks like he lacks grunt overall. Perhaps overplayed?

Lestat spot on re Hougaard against Ireland. The lads game has been defined by a bunch of muppets based on the 3 bad passes he delivered in crap conditions and the two fumbles thanks to the lack of protection provided by his forwards. 
No mention is made of the good 59 passes he made in those conditions. Most observers are just like sheep they follow the hype. According to most Hougaard was poor because of the 62 passes he made 3 were poor.

Schalk was solid enough but a MOM performance it was not.....much like Hougaard s performance was nowhere near as bad as people made out......These calls just never make sense

Sadly, the only stat that matters in rugby is the final score at the end of the game. Pollard or Hougaard are good players (pollard excellent in fact) but that shouldn't mean you discredit a very good perfomanc e by lambie and reinach this week.

Thereis one problm with stats like quoted by you - they do not win matches.  Matches are won by scoring points and not by how much possession the team has - or by how many meters they make in ball carries - or how many tackles the team made.   Those stats are really not the key to match outcomes.   
Against the Irish all the stats favoured the Springboks - yet they lost the game by 14 points.   Things like ball possesion or ball carries means nothing if the end result is not scoring of poits,   This is often enough infuenced by the stats of ball possession losses or penalties given away - which could have a direct impact on the eventual outcome. 
However, Meyer himself made a remark after the latest test - indicating that the team on Saturday was smart and adjusted to the game - implying that the previous week the players were not so smart and not adjusting to the game conditions as well as they should have done.
Just a question - you make a very controversial statement  about the backline play - so how many tries were scored by the English backline players and how many by the Springbok backliners in the English test?

Only thing preventing him from becoming a definite starter is that he needs to have a 100 caps and be around the age of 35.

Well what do you know? The same clown who has been telling us that the wins against Oz and NZ was actually not really wins, because of "... how much possession the team has - or by how many meters they make in ball carries - or how many tackles the team made".  The same clown who would not then judge the close losses by the same yard stick.
