CJ Stander picks his Bok loose trio
He's either shit-stirring, wanting us to lose or plain stupid.
Where's the player of the year Wiese?
The return of Stampkar!
If the site "rugby experts" - who knows nothing about the game - condemn players, it is wised to ignore their BS.
Obviously CJ has had one to many "Head Hits" in his playing career.
We are talking about two players who have never delivered for the Boks. They are the face of the brand of mediocrity that too many South Africans are enamored with. Where is the honesty? Seeing as Roos has failed to look remotely test quality, how would he fair this year being surrounded by such substandard players? With Wiese and Kwagga, at least he doesn't have to do any more than hold his own, and being surrounded by players who are setting much higher standards to follow. In short, he'll be much more likely to succeed!
Wiese has been fantastic. The odds of Roos matching him are quite unlikely. Wiese has the odd moment of a rush of blood, but aside from that he has been pretty clean. He is statistically the best Bok defender since 2021. Considering our defence has been pap, we need him. He also does something Kolisi, Steph and Lood have never done: get front foot ball over the gainline. We haven't had gainline dominance in one test since 2021, England win aside.
Steph is hopeless, and Kolisi is an embarrassment. Neither one has earned a single test.
As for Roos. His showings last year were exceedingly poor. Odd, given that he is already crowned Bok of the ages.

There is a problem here. Wiese is a slow loosie that can carry balls in traffic - but there is a problem for years inasmuch as the loosies were regarded by the Springbok coaches as an extension of the Tight 5. There was no linking play involving loosies joining the backline in attacking play. Du Toit was such a linking loosie - but the "site experts" do not understand that faction of loosie play - of them a loosie is supposed to defend in traffic and being part of attack is really beyond their understanding. Kolisi showed development in that respect and Roos is really a player in the Savea style - mobile and physically strong to be effective in both attack and defense.
Wiese is mobile, strong, good hands, great defence, makes good reads, even good in the air! A decisive contributor. Lood and Steph are slow, ponderous, poor hands, no ability to read play, make all kinds of mistakes more often than not.
Roos Was physically blown away last year at test level. I'm not saying he cannot ever be good, but he has a lot to prove. Surrounding him with mediocre players won't help him.
Wiese has the same pace as Alberts used to have - slow and lack of mobility. Wiese is a strong carrier of balls in traffic - much like tight 5 players are capable of - he is not a factor in attack and too slow to defend outside of traffic area.
I'll bookmark this page for future laughs. How many more poor calls are you going to make? Wiese has been one of the three best performing Boks. Roos hasn't done anything yet. Of course you'd bemoan a lack of creative running lines. That isn't what our loose forwards need to be. They are the template that the supposed creative players are supposed to work around! Wiese is skilled enough, and can operate perfectly well in a modern game plan. Roos not only hasn't shown up physically, but his supposed skills have been absent as well. All the highlights I have seen are of open field running after someone else breached the line. Candyfloss. This isn't something that can succeed at the top level. The same lessons are never learned. This is becoming rather repetitive.

This is how myths start. Heed the warning lest you too fall to it's siren song. ..
Roos has yet to show any signs of being test worthy. The myth begins with ignoring the early signs.
Ja ouDawie, lets field your backrow , all returning from serious injuries ............ then there's Snyman & Etzebeth, another two wounded warriors.
Thank gawd we'll have Mostert to the rescue.
Wiese vs Dud Toit in the AB test we won last year. Another great Dud game…..3 runs for 3 metres and loses the ball once. He makes 2 passes the same as Wiese. Dud is a distributing 7 according to Clever….hahaha. Tackling he makes 8 tackles, Wiese 13.
In effect Dud did nothing in the 46 minutes he was on the park. Nor did Kolisi. Wiese wasn’t astounding but clearly more effective, ball in hand . We have two passengers at 6 and 7.
