First time I've seen him play and didn't see anything to get excited about for the short time he was on the field. He pounded into Faf at one stage and couldn't make a meter even through him as the little guy wrestled him to the ground around the upper body. Still think the red was harsh though.

 Nah Paki, have another look, total reckless-tification, he could've killed our oak .....

The red card was far from harsh, Stander is a thug. I hope they suspend him for the entire tour.

Blob, I've watched the incident numerous times now and still don't see anything more than a committed chargedown attempt ending in bad accidental contact. 

 Agreed Pakie ... it was an unfortunate accident that didn't warrant a red.
They would have put 50 on the Goats had he remained on the park.
His spell on the park was way to short for any kind of an@lysis. 
You guys are being a smidge too harsh.
I hope he returns for the next test.

 Lambie is out for 2 weeks according to official sources . When he was laid out cold it looked like he would be out longer than 2 weeks. In any case they will have to assess his concussion so it may be premature to say the time frame.

 CC showing his ignorance yet again. However it mattered not in the end as the Boks were clueless. It was amateurs against professionals.

Even so ... in the end the Goats couldn't even beat a depleted team ... not even with 13 men at one time.
I feel for Lambie. He seems to have the Jean De Villiers curse on him.

 I don't think it was malice. And I agree with Pakie that his sole purpose was charging down the kick, but it was so incredibly clumsy. He wasn't just jumping up to charge it down .....he was rushing forward and leaping straight into the path of the kicker.  A primitive, massive long/high jump combination. I honestly can't recall a player flying through the air to charge a kick in quite that way. Weird.  Lambie had taken several steps before contact.
In the light of all the cards we have seen when players were genuinely competing for the high ball this was bound to get a card. 
Stumpkar looked amped and his emotions got the better of him. I doubt we will see him again in the series, which is a bit sad given the story. But I'm sure there will be further chapters in this story, much like the Quaalude and NZ.

 In the line of recent sanctions for aerial collisions,  this was always gonna be red. Intent only comes into the equation after the match when further sanction is to be determined.

 With that I agree Saf. I want 15 vs 15 at all times. Yellows and reds should carry strong post match sanctions, but too many matches are sometimes  spoiled by stupid carding.

I have no issue with a red for dirty malicious fouls.....other than that it should be yellows  

 15 v 15 is what we the spectators  have paid for....
but negative play by the defending team would be a problem.Maybe the law should provide a penalty try for any 3 consecutive penalty's committed within the 22. 

 That would be a start BBF, but in the end, the ref still decides the penalties. I would like the laws to be more black or white, but that's gonna be difficult. There is a fine line between releasing/placing the ball in the tackle and not. Not to mention scrum penalties. Offside, being held up, mauls gone static. Being 10 back for a penalty....etc. In the end it's the discretion of the ref. 

 The change I advocate is two cards, both yellow.....but if you get a dangerous yellow like Stumpkar's the player cannot return, but has to be replaced after the 10 minutes by another player.
15 on 15 after 10 minutes 

 That would be better than current, but still not ideal. It the yellow turns out to be justified,  I can live with it, but many a match has been spoiled by iffy calls. An iffy penalty is bad enough, but one player down for 10 minutes to boot?
