TitOut stop speaking complete shit. Kruger has added nothing to the Bulls or Boks, he is a bog ordinary lock who lacks the physical clout to be a test lock. He is a complete liability........anyone who thinks otherwise is an ignorant twat......which of course you are.

Ah yeah lets stick with the talentless Morne at 10 and continue to win 60% of our test matches......shows how bloody pathetically out of touch and conservative you are.

Catch a wake up you idiot

I know in advance in comments on the loss on Saturday will be. Mozart would blame Engelbrecht (he should never have been in the squad - De Jongh should have been) for the loss - Beeno will blame the bent Kiwi Referees. Nobody could possibly blame Meyer - he did nothing wrong and he selected the two of them supported all out.

You know and I know that the squad selected by Meyer comprise in the main of players most of whom have done zilch over the past year - and they are not the best available for selection by Meyer.

There is one poor consolation - give a rogue enough rope and he will hang himself. I foresee four major losses by very substantial margins over the next four weeks and that maybe - just maynbe - SARU would realize that Meyer is not a coach's backside. .

However, you and I know that there will be a major problem and that it is entirely due to idiotic selections - but we will just have to bear the pain and keep trying to get people to realize that Meyer is not the way to go with SA Rugby.

RE: Jake questions Bok lineouts- Eztebeth and Flip are too heavy as number5 jumpers
September 06, 2013, 06:14:25

This really is amazing. We have the most powerful pack we have fielded - so they must bust up the opposition in scrums. We could not do it against Argentina - the only change being Van der Merwe for Kruger - - the loosies contribute very little to scrumming prowess - yet it is the most powerful pack ever - and we will demolish Australia in scrums????????

It is at the same time a forward pack devoid of mobility with a serious deficiency in line -outs. What a joke - we are going to get nowhere fast with that lot - or rather - we are going to get nowhere SLOW with them.

How silly are we to accept that type of one-dimensionality and hope for success. What a farce!!!!!

I do not agree with White about Etzebeth - Even though he is heavy - he is athletic and that helps in line-out play. Where I do agree is that the rest of our forwards are hopeless insofar as line out performance is concerned. That is why I would love to see at least Du Toit or De Jager in the mix - other athletic types - as well as at least one of the loosies being able to take line-out balls.

We are bloody hopeless in line out variations as a result of Meyer's pathetic selections - really the pits..

Opinion Surveynn- Major problems to be corrected by the Springboks:-
September 02, 2013, 17:57:39

A survey was undertaken by News 24 to determine what the public has identified as the major problems the Springboks must overcome:-

The public identified the following major problems:-

AIMLESS KICKING.

This issue has not been addressed at all by Meyer - he insist on a kick and chase game - but the players selected by him ha one thing in common - they specialize in aimless kicks. It is absolutely guaranteed that 70% of all kicks of Morne Steyn and Pienaar will enivtably be aimless. Aimless kicks are to far too to be effectively followed up - they are to near to the center of the field - allowing the opposition too much time to use the most effective counter-attacking strategy available.

Add to that brainless Kirchner - and there can only be a massive problem with aimless kicking and the public is right - Meyer does not regard aimless kicking as a problem.

The only solution is top get rid of Morne Steyn if you want to get rig of aimless kicking - and the same applies to Pienaar and Kirchner.

BREAKDOWN BALL RECOVERY

28% of the public has serious reservations about this aspect of the game. Meyer has recognized this as a problem and got a Scottish Consultant to help out. However, the problem remains. The ball is slowly recovered - if at all recovered - and by the time the ball gets out the defence of the opposition is organized and the Springboks get no advantage from the ball recovered.

The problem is again entirely at the door of Meyer. He picked the worse back row in any international side and expect miracles. They are slow and physically totally ineffective in ball recovery. That has been identified many times over - but Meyer seems to not realize it. His selections is the reason why this aspect of the game SHALL NEVER CORRECTED.

DEFENCE OUT WIDE

14% of the respondents are worried about this aspect. There are some reservations about Engelbrecht's defence - but the problem is NOT ENGELBRECHT ALONE it is the fact that neither BASSON NOR KIRCHNER CAN MAKE ANY TACKLES TO SAVE THEIR LIVES. And they are favoured by Meyer as his full back and wing.

Here Meyer has managed to dig the third hole for the Springboks - so the poor public will just have to accept that Meyer is punishing us continuously.

The remainder of the respondents are worried about counter-attackes by players like Folau and O'Connor and even Beale - so where are we going this week? Absolutely disastrous and Meyer made absolutely sure of that.

Another question - why can the public see with their own eyes what the problems are - and Meyer cannot do so? Is he dense?

RE: Meyer's Team for Saturday
September 04, 2013, 11:00:12

The above does not include the issue of predicatability and deficient ball sense. If those two aspects were included - players like Steyn and Pienbaar would also have those two as negatives -- but those are issues that does affect performances of teams as a whole and not necessarily the individual players.

What is apparent is that Meyer either are blind to the negatives of his selected players or prefer to ignore them as they would not have been so prominent in the game plans of a decade ago - the period that moulded his rugby thinking and which he still lives in at present.

What can we expect from that lot this coming week - nothing of consequence and a defeat is on the cards. Lets just hope it is not to big a margin of loss - but that is likely to be also a forlorn hope.

Will Meyer ever learn that you cannot play with non-performing players and expect victories against top teams? I do not think it would happen ever - and we are going to suffer as a result. I think our IRB rating is likely to drop to 5 or 6 by the end of this year.

It would be interesting to keep this item alive and see which of the player deficiencies mentioned occur in the game on Saturday and see what the real situation is at present.

RE: Meyer's Team for Saturday
September 04, 2013, 16:57:43

Mozart

The pack is massive - but by all accounts slow. clumsy and poor I most aspects of the game. What are they going top ground down? The Wallabies will win their line-outs and scrums and move the ball wide - at breakdowns they will recover their balls before any of the massive pack - with the possible exception of Bismarck turns up and move the ball away from the bumbling and slow Springboks.

The Springboks will take theirs and Morne or Pienaar will kick aimlessly - handing position over to the Wallabies - counter-attack to follow. If there is a breakdown - they will retain the ball quickly and the attack will continue - with virtually none of the Springbok forwards anywhere near.

You may think it can work - but it won't and there is no fighting chance of anything - lose we will - we only have to hope the Wallabies make some errors which will reduce the margin of their victory.

RE: Meyer's Team for Saturday
September 04, 2013, 21:20:48

Shezza

Sorry if you do not agree. I went through the stats and even looked at some games again over the past week to determine tendencies displayed by players in the past year - both on test level and on Super 15 level. With due regard to those tendencies I have allocated the negative tendencies to players who made the same mistakes a number of times in a number of different matches. The basis for allocation was not only one-off occurrences in single matches - but what has become some significant factors in virtually all games played.

You may not agree with me - but the problem is that players through performances over a year display certain tendencies that normally occur on a regular basis in their matches. I am not saying it is going to repeat itself in the match on Saturday - but I am definitely going to study to what extent expected deficiencies recur.

If the majority of players perform without the deficiencies they have shown throughout the past year - we may win - but bearing in mind their history over the past year that is highly unlikely.

RE: Conservative Kirchner likely to start, Willie LeRoux moves to wing
September 03, 2013, 13:40:26

The insane Meyer and Kirchner. The more I see of that bloody selections of Meyer - the more I realize hat he has gone bananas. Picking the clueless Kirchner is just one other example of this.

The one thing I am surprised at is that he might be moving Le Roux to the wing, but that causes another problem - because he apparently insist on having the useless Basson on the bench. Since a scrummie is required for the bench - he has one other option - either Serfontein or Lambie is out. I guess it would be Lambie.

Meyer is a nutcase - no doubt. Since he is absolutely addicted to Basson - he would rather drop Lambie from the Bench in favour of a hopelessly inadequate defender. However, I think that he may still opt for Basson and drop Le Roux altogether.(And then he surprised you and have both Vermaak and Lambie on the bench. Hahahaha)

The insane Meyer team is bound to be as follows:-

15 Kirchner

14 Le Roux (?)

13 Engelbrecht

12 De Villiers

11 Habana

10 Steyn

9 Pienaar

8 Vermeulen

7 Alberts

6 Louw

5 Etzebeth

4 Van der Merwe (?)

3 Du Plessis

2 Du Plessis

1 Mtawariri

16 Strauss

17 Steenkamp

18 Coenie

19 Kruger

20 Kolisi

21 Vermaak

22 Serfontein

23 Basson

Are 10 Bulls players and ex-Bulls players not pushing it too much? There are two issues here why I still think that Meyer might just go for Basson - instead of Le Roux. He might also go for Kruger - despite the complete mess he made in Mendoza. But Steenkamp I his absolute favourite - despite the fact that he was even useless for Toulouse in their game this past weekend.

Is the above the strongest combinations available in SA? It definitely is not - it may be in Meyer's book - because that could have been the case a decade ago under the laws applicable at the time, but at present it is probably one of the weakest teams Meyer could have selected.

This is the pits - half of the above should not have been in the squad at all. Saffex is right - the man has gone dilly. If the above is the strongest SA team available - then there is something seriously amiss in our rugby.

And then Mozart says we are desperate for the Boks to lose - so as to prove our petty points. He is wrong about that - we know Meyer's team will lose - as long as he persist with that kind of team selection - we are dead and buried..

RE: Boks Mentally weak?
September 02, 2013, 18:54:16

Freddie

My problem with Meyer is he inspired the Bulls to greatness a decade ago - when the game plan is vastly different to the present scenario The laws has been amended drastically since then - making for a more attacking brand of rugby. Meyer got stuck in the 2004 mould and there is no sign that he has made any progress since then.

It is because of that problem that we are going nowhere under Meyer - nothing else. He identified breakdown ball recovery as a problem - appoint a consultant - but then select a back row that is immobile and physically unable to do the job - because they are too slow, too clumsy and many would say too fat - eg Alberts.

May be the case - but he could have done better then - Aplon would have been a better choice than the thick dunderhead - Kirchner - and he could have left out the useless Steenkamp and rather pick Nyakane.

The man remains an imbecile and there is no excuse for his behaviour - what a bloolly dick head - as Denny said.

Lets ;eave your dreams aside and see what happens next Saturday - we will then see what is the case - whether we are correct or whether you are. For the well-being of Meyer I hope you are - but I cannot see how that can be and I remain of the opinion that the Springboks will lose the match. No amount of excuses would help - since we would all know the real reason.

The wider the margin of the loss is - the worse the disgrace will be..

RE: This is fricking Unbelievable - Meyer

Beeno

Get real - we have no complaints about the so-called quota system - what is really wrong is Meyer's persistence with half-baked and mostly poor ex-bulls players stationed in France - virtually of them Whites. What makes it necessary to bring in a fat and useless mampara like Steenkampp into the squad. Morne is one-dimensional - with only one attribute - he can kick at goal. For the rest his game is average to poor. Vermaak is nothing special and Kruger is a joke in bad taste.

Then we have to put up with the rest of his donkeys as well. The useless defenders Kirchner and Basson (because they are good under high balls but fluff everything else - even the high balls) are both utterly f#cking useless. Add to that Flip-flop and the fat, slow and useless Alberts (the mighty ball-carrier that never carries balls) - as well and we have a hotchpotch of utterly useless players who are supposed to be turned into a team.

If that lot can beat Australia - the rugby situation in Australia must be in tatters - but I am sure they use players - and not the rubbish we do - so a win by them is on the cards.

I expect the Aussies will beat us by 20+ points and the AB's by 30+ points. In such an event Meyer should do the honourable thing and take a plane from Auckland to Paris and submit his resignation by e-mail.

While we will need of course to get Mike and Snapster, Fred, Muncher, Rugganutter and others to explain what went wrong re their predictions please count yourself very fortunate that you stuck with me on these issues as otherwise you would as usual been up the creek without a paddle.
