Plans for a 16-team global club competition were approved in Cardiff on Friday, according to The Times
The Club World Championship will take place every four years, replacing the knockout stage of the Champions Cup.
It’s understood that the Premiership, URC and Top14 have agreed to shift their calendar to make room for the tournament.
