Ruan Pienaar is out of the Rugby Championship with a medial knee ligament injury and from what I can gather, Fourie du Preez is not ready to return yet after the ankle injury he picked up in June. Looks like we'll be going into the home tests against the Wallabies and the All Blacks with Francois Hougaard starting and Cobus Reinach coming off the bench.
I've got a good feeling about Cobus Reinach. I once played a game against his father Jaco and I've followed Cobus's career since he arrived on the scene. I know he's prone to the odd brain explosion but his electric pace and his courage more than make up for that. Here's hoping he grabs this opportunity with both hands!

I think Meyer will start with Cobus and play Houggie off the bench.
Or at least I hope he does.

I am a Reinach supporter - he has the occassional brain implosion - but on the whole he reads games and executes whatever he decides in a class manor. Prfer himn to Hougaard by the proverbial mile.
He is the tuype of player that can makethe game his own and I am sure he will show top form against hte Aussies. We know what Hougaard produces - it would be very interesting to see how Reinach goes.

Of course Reinach must start. The fact that he is not a kicking scrumhalf means we can BEGIN to learn how to retain possession through the phases. He needs to get to grips with test rugby. Huge potential

Yeah makes sense given I was a centre but I'm struggling to see what the issue is with a wing playing against a hooker - it's the norm!!

The problem is it is a bit of gratuitous information...a little bit of bragging. I wouldn't care if it were any other poster, but your smarmy buddy accuses everybody else of bragging....yet we know more about his rugby career than any other poster here. A hypocrite.
