For a moment, he thought he was back in rugby league with that shoulder charge, only to find himself sent off. Lions must be hoping he gets selected again next week for the ABS. 
SWB made 2 yellow card tackles in one tackle , firstly by shoulder charging, and then tackling the neck/head area. 

 
SBW is an arrogant arse. He probably thought he'd be allowed to get away with it as is usually the case with the Kiwis.

Well at least we've established that pre-meditated shoulder charging is a part of his game ... his modus operandi.

I wonder how many times he's gotten away with it over the years ... being a Kiwi and all ? 

Delighted that this serial offender got his comeuppance for a change.

Hope they suspend him for a further 2 months.

Vunipola deserved his yellow also,.... he didn't use his arm,.... but was very lucky,.... Barrett was going backwards which makes him fail the shoulder charge,...

anyway, bad game from the AB,... the Lions weren't better and they were playing against 14,.... at least the interest is kept and next week's game could be epic

 SBW had a brain fart - it was a senseless thoughtless bonehead play. Deserved red. However, he's a very good player so I'm not one pile on.

 Vunipola used two arms as far as I recall. It was by no means a shoulder charge. If anything, it seemed more severe because Barrett was prone when it happened...and did some good lyrics acting post the event. 
I'll watch it again but recall checking to see if he used his arms and it appeared that he used both.
The crowd did cry out when it happened but the production team only showed one replay of it a while after it happened.
In SDW's defence I think his hit was entirely unintentional. He wasn't expecting the guy to run as laterally as he did and he shouldered him more out of surprise/insitinct than intent. Still, it's a shoulder to the head/neck area so a red is the only result.  
T he ABs have nothing to be ashamed of. I mean, they took on the best the UK has to offer with a man down and still almost won. 
The bad vibes and spats after the game were poor form though. It's easy to be a gracious winner...when you're on the losing side it ain't that easy. Pride's a hitch. 

 Clouds, when you're getting flack, you must be over the target. I think some of us are relieved to see the AB's can still be beaten. Some will gloat others will be mature about things. To be gracious in victory and defeat is not easy for anyone. Enjoy the once in 12 year Lions tour and forget about the BS in  between matches.

After years and years of cheating ... getting away with things on the pitch that other teams are punished for ... been given victories like the 2011 WC final ... and then strutting their stuff as though they have the right to all this favour, rubs me up the wrong way.

The All Black fans are about as arrogant as they come ... yet when they lose they all turn into whining pussies.

Like a bully who is faced down and given a good crack on the nose suddenly turning all cowardly ... tearful and "oh please, please" ... !!!

Look at the tearful state of this board's Kiwis. All woeful ... complaining about the injustice ... the ref ... yet it's all good when they get unjustified decisions going there way ... and we're sore losers when we complain about it or voice our opinion.

@Cloudy, I think everyone(or nearly.....) supports the All Blacks over the PomLions. It is just a bit boring with the All Blacks winning all the time. The last 12 years has been the best performing test team ever. 
It is good for the game that the Lions got one win, but the All Blacks will be back next week. I am sure Hansen will be thinking of some plans to allow the All Blacks to dictate the pattern of play. I think the Lions will be hoping for rain again, but not very likely. 

I have been shouting for the Lions up until now, for two simple reasons. Firstly, I want to see that the AB's are not invincible, and I wanted the series to be exciting. That said, this coming weekend I am all for the AB's. The Lions have been a let down for me, ffs, they nearly lost a game against 14 men for 50 odd minutes. What a joke! I have my allegiances, but at the end of the day, I want the best and most deserving team to win....that is the BA's in this case.
