Kitshoff doesn't match Coenie out of the scrum. His constant dropping of balls in the Super 15 just goes to show that's he can't catch.

Moz I am yet to see the scrum against the AB's where things changed......kindly point the scrum out? Not to mention the fact that the Boks also subbed Bismark, the stronger scrummaging hooker and later useless Steenkamp replaced Beast. Its hardly the same scrum when Coenie comes on. But that aside, he has been fine at 3 and I am with Meyer on converting Coenie to 3 as we have Kitshoff coming through to replace Beast in the near future
Its been much the same when Coenie has moved from loosehead to tighthead for the Cheetahs all S15, he stood tall. I was impressed with him as at times he took the hit and literally through brute strength turned the tied on his opposite number.
The new scrum laws suite him as he can rely on his strength more......but he has plenty to learn at 3, but has done a good job to date. What is doing him no favours is changing him each week.

Shezz with all due respect, the primary role of a prop is to scrum and there is nothing wrong with Kitshoff's all round game, the lad is a class act

I realy rate this young fella but why the shuffling from one side of the scrum to the other ?

Coenie is a very powerful man.
He struggled with the hit at 3 but seems to be a lot more comfortable with the new laws.
Still don't regard him as anything other than a plastered over loosehead.
Time for Malherbe to step up to the plate.
