The following from News24:-

“Sharks prop Coenie Oosthuizen will join the Springboks here on Wednesday as an extra front row cover following the withdrawal of Trevor Nyakane, who is struggling with an ankle injury.

The experienced Oosthuizen was called up to the Bok camp to cover the loosehead and tighthead positions.

Nyakane hurt his ankle last Saturday in the Boks’ win over Ireland in the second Test played in Johannesburg.

The 27-year-old Oosthuizen has earned 23 Springboks caps to date and recently played for the SA ‘A’ side in their two-match series against the England Saxons.

The Springboks have a training free day on Wednesday, apart from variety of #LoveRugby activations in the morning.

The Bok team to face Ireland in the deciding third Test this Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, will be named on Thursday.”

I am beginning to have serious reservations about some of the selections thus far.  Coenie Osthuizen has been a disaster in scrumming over the last two years.  Why is he of all players called up to join the Springbok squad?   Hope he is not on the benh on Saturday.

Dave will be pumped, but the rest of civilization knows how utterly useless he is.

This pretender has had ONE good game for the Boks. A game I watched in Paris about 3 years ago. Is Kitsoff not a more deserving selection?

The worst scrummager in world rugby. A match loser with unlimited ability.

What's next ... the return of Ruan Pienaar ... ?

Yep good form, dominant in the scrums as evidenced by his destruction of the Saxons loosehead in his last game and has always been our best prop with ball in hand. Great player.

Logical choice for the Bok squad, should have been there for Redelinghuis in the first place.

I must say Coenie surprised me with his scrumming against the Saxons.

Goeie besluit om Coenie nader te trek. Hy is ook goed op die losbal waar ons sukkel.

Geez Meany, I can see you have regressed since I was giving you daily instruction in rugby theory......couldn't you have made a better entrance than pumping Coenie. Still I hope this indicates we may see more of your stuff, things can only go up from here.
