I see this kid is having more troubles with his neck. It always seemed to me he was being rushed back into the game.

What older chaps do to these youngsters, who don't know better, is a disgrace. Jim McMahon the famous Chicago quarterback of the 80s was pushed back in week after week, despite a series of concussions. Now at 53 he has Dimentia.

Any kid who has had a serious neck injury should not be playing professional rugby in the front row period. It may feel like a great loss now....but it's better than being a vegetable at 50.

neck stifness and aches is part of the parcel of playing in the front row. At the start of a season or another lengthy lay off the front row players do experience neck stiffness as part of the game. I dont think he is going to become a vegtable just yet. Potgieter does not even have neck injuries.
