Why on earth play de Jongh at centre and de Allende on the wing, it would make more sense for wee de Jongh to be on the wing.

Good to see he has woken up to Ruan Botha at 5 and it makes sense to play the impressive Kobus v/Wyk on the wing. He was impressive at 12 for the WP U21 side last year.

Also good to see young lock Jean Kleyn and prop Oli Kebble on the bench.

I take it Pat Howard is still injured?

Nice to see de Jongh back and fully fit. The Stormers have a problem at scrumhalf, Schreuder keeps losing games and keeps getting selected. This, for me, remains a mystery.

Schreuder seems to be highly rated by coaches, but not by the fans. From what I have seen Groom is much better. Michael the thug Penalty Machine Rhodes is on the bench to cover lock and loose forward.

Groom plunged out of favour when the Cheetahs plucked the ball off his boot for a try, but Schreuder has made so many mistakes.

Saffex

For Coetzee to get anything right would be a catastrophe.    Playing De Jongh in any position is real idiocy.  Why not bring in Pat Howard - he is apparently not injured -  and forget about the little and useless de Jongh?

Howard must be injured as I cannot begin to see how he would select van Breda on the bench ahead of him.

We know Coetzee is not the smartest, but he cant be that stupid??

 Saffex

There was an interview less than a week ago - where Howard was mentioned by Coetzee himself as a potential wing - he saud that - but seems to think he can go the other way now.   Smart and Coetzee are words that should not be in the same sentence.

I saw that interview and it was about the season as a whole, so my guess is that Howard is still injured.

He also said that he would use Taute in the midfield later in the season

Howard is not injured. Kobus van Wyk has jumped him during pre-season.

Wrong Taute proved on that EOYT tour that he was a better centre than de Jongh who had such a poor performance against England that he has never smelt the Bok side since.

WP - that about sums the useless Coetzee up

I bet Coetzee reads this website and thinks the same thing. "Saffex getting it wrong AGAIN!"
Howard....just another of the Saff mans stabs in the dark that when the light comes on, you realise he missed the mark and stabbed through a box of eggs and now it's all over his face!

Could all the oaks here please refer this season to the Stormers as the Mighty Stormers. It just makes more sense like that and shows a proper level of respect.
Coetzee is not the sharpest pencil in the box as I have been saying for years now. However there is talent in this side and we should still do reasonably well.
De Jongh belongs on the wing as he has pace and the skills necessay to be successful there. Allende is a centre. As for Howard has he narked off the coach or what.
Boklogic you seem to be getting more obsessed by the day -I note that avatar of yours. hahhahahahahaha. Howard looked useful to me on the limited game time he had.
