Coetzee promises to Step Down

Yesterday he made a pledge that if this year results were proven to be entirely his fault, he would step down. He then continued the Indaba debate- about all the issues.
Today he said that it was his entirely his fault because he is the coach.However, he did not say he would step down. 
So he has deceived us all. 
I can only see one of two things happening here.
1. Coetzee gets moved from head coach to an administerial role in rugby to organise the Indabas- and "maybe" actually implement some of the changes.
2. Coetzee is here for the long haul as head coach.SARU & Transformants did not want to look bad- that it was their shambles that caused this year.So they forced Coetzee to make this announcement today that it is entirely his fault.
He gets to keep his job (most likely)- and there will be more Indabas to talk about the problems and how nothing is his or the transformants fault

 Like many I'd like to see him dumped but I get the feeling that he's going to stay and that's largely because he is seen as being Transformation active. Also I don't think they'll ask JW back.
Some think that it's all because of Coetzee, sure the buck stops with him but I believe an even bigger stuffup is Saru. They are totally useless and clueless. With no major sponsor knocking down the door they were forced to make public statements to appease all interested parties.
It's no longer about winning, it's about Transformation, Moz and I picked up on it last year and we both came to the same conclusion..winning is of secondary importance.SARU has rubber stamped the Minister of Sport's transformation policy and it was the presidents council who condemned Meyer for not implementing Transformation....hence the reason they wanted him to go.
Coetzee's failure has complicated things for them and now they're trying to wriggle around it without getting rid of him.

@Denny his appointment was to some degree justified- because on paper he is one of the better South African coaches. He is no worse than the likes of Gary Gold).He also appears to be a well-liked person. Unfortunately, he is not international standard. 
The bottom line is with international coaching it is all about New Zealand coaches- and Eddie Jones. The Boks need to get in the mix- as our coaches are mostly useless. I think Ackerman has learnt his trade from John Mitchell
Transformation is keeping Coetzee in the job- because he was appointed by them and accepted the targets for racial representation- that apparently Meyer declined.
I don't think a New Zealand coach would accept the job- until there is less political influence.

 Mate, we're saying the same things. I think we need to get our heads around how uniquely dysfunctional things are in the Republic. Logic went out the window....so did honesty and integrity. This is all about Transformation and to that end Coetzee has excelled. Fact is things were not suppose to pan out the way it has, they had it all parceled, sealed and delivered, unfortunately for them that parcel exploded in their stupid fat faces by the results on the playing field.
Don't get your hopes up with this lot, if we did we'll all be bitterly disappointed.

 Talk shop after talk shop - standard with the ANC and nothing happened.   They are deeply divided and wanted to get rid of Zuma and the criminal gang running the show at present,   In the end of the cabinet ministers threatened to resign if Zuma stays on and the ANC desperately pleaded with them not to because that would indicate that the ANC is divided and they should forget about their conscience and keep the criminal gang in place.
So back to SARU.  SARU was with Parliament on Monday and explained how wonderful transformation is working.
When parliamentarians were asking about the poor results this year SARU promised that more transformation will correct all the shortcomings and that issues will be dealt with through further meetings over the next two months.
SARU will have a series of talk shops and "talk is cheap - money buys the whiskey".   So what will happen?   Nothing - Coetzee will stay on - some great announcements will be made - and the results will plummet even further next year.
The idiots will never learn - politics and sport segregation does not work and interference in team selection on a racial basis will destroy the game in SA.

 Per dense denise =- It's no longer about winning, it's about Transformation, Moz and I picked up on it last year and we both came to the same conclusion..winning is of secondary importance.
Dense Denise OI would be extremely surprised if Dr Moz only picked up on this last year. Beeno of course has been on about this matter since the first quota pick after isolation ended. oF course in those days there were many who thought raced based selections were the way to go and i was labelled racist, nazi and many such things. Of course today everyone knows I was right to insist on merit selections.
I would like to say how smart I was to get it right from day one but in reality it was very obvious and all one can say is how dumb some oaks are - especially dense denise who only twigged last year!!!!

 A sensible solution would be to end professional 15 rugby. It cant be accepted or brought by excellent men.

It has been a long time since SA rugby is not about winning. Actually, at least since the professional era kicked in.

SA rugby failed in anything that could show that SA rugby want to win.

What is disputed today is something different: the priviledge to lose. Because SA rugby is loser rugby. It wont win.

What people want is that the priviledge to lose is given to them and them only.

The SA shirt means defeat. It is all about who gets the shirt.

 They only other thing that SARA could perhaps do is to implement a directory or rugby, very similar to what Ireland has done. Let Coetzee worry about the coaching the team and the director of rugby make sure that all the players are fit and firing, decent coaches, fixtures, competition etc. 
It could work if Jake was made the director of rugby. He knows how to get best out ordinary players
